You spelt “scam” wrong, but I don’t blame you.

I received a call from this number today, March 8, 2021. It showed up as Walmart.com. I didn't answer it because I haven't ordered anything from them ever online. I have been getting calls from scammers a lot more often now, but never has one shown up as Walmart. Can anyone tell me if this a scam number? I always block them once they call. Thanks.

Was looking online researching this number.... Randomly got 2 calls from them. I HAVE bought from walmart online before but this was months ago. I checked my bank account immediately after seeing everyone say that they've been scammed.. nothing there. Called the number and spoke to somebody but they were just as confused as I was... super sketched out

I have had this number call twice so far. I won't answer it. Finally blocked it. I work at Walmart but there should be no reason why Walmart.com should be calling.

i had a charge on my card from walmart.com for 35.90, so i called the # listed on my statement which is this one, this number is a fake, and phony trying to get your #s to rob you , so all they really need to look up my info or my charge is the last 4 of my card, this loser asked for all 16 numbers on my card, i said no sir, and i said hold on, and i googled the real walmart.com customer service #, and it was 1800 WALMART,, not this #, THIS IS NOT WALMART PEOPLE, WAKE UP< THEYRE ROBBING YOU

This is a total scam!!! Confirmed through Walmart at 1-800-925-6246 today 7/12/22.

OK read comments, but what is the truth? Some say Truth that it's a legit Walmart, but some say it's a Scam. So which is it? I was in contact with a Walmart Rep who gave me the hardest time ever had. They didn't know what were Walmart's policies or how to fix my issue, then when asked for Manager, they gave me this number to call. I hesitate to call it as don't know if it is truly Walmart.

Just a simple web search of this number turns up plenty of posts that should convince anyone that calls from this number are NOT Trustworthy.

This number also seems to be given as a call-back number for fraudulent charges that may show up on a person's credit or debit card, as purchases made on the Walmart website.

It is unclear if this number is in someway connected with Walmart, and if calling the number is safe, I would not trust this number.

It is worth noting that the Customer Service number as per the Walmart website is 1-800-925-6278 (1-800-WALMART).

Definitely not Walmart. Unless it has a third world calling center with their TV and Fox news going and children playing.

This is the third time within 3 months that I've come home from Walmart in about 5 minutes after I walk in the door. I get a call from Walmart distribution center now. Why the hell would they be calling me? I didn't order anything from Walmart. I think it's very odd that I received a call from Walmart. I don't have a Walmart credit card or anything. I don't wish to have one either Walmart's not my favorite place to [***] begin with but unfortunately where I live there are certain politics that make it very difficult for other proprietors to move in. I'm not Sherlock Holmes but it does seem awful. Suspicious that I am receiving calls from Walmart after I've left the store it's bad enough. People have to worry about unknown [***] calling and try to scam them out of their money or whatever. But now this seems like an inside job. It's awful. Goddamn ironic how I get a call from the distribution center every [***] time that I leave Walmart I know this is ridiculous. I know that if they can call my phone number after I paid for items with my debit card. If they can very easily have my debit card number

Has called 2 times this week, late afternoon calls. I picked up once but didn't speak and they asked for me by name. I hung up. I do shop at Walmart and have purchased things from their website but the number feels off.

What legal grounds? Is there a class action suit going on now? I'd be interested!

This man called saying it was about a remote job and needed my e-mail.
