- FED UPi filled out a survey on a 3d chat website to earn enough credits to buy furniture and what not but not 20 mintues after i did that this "Education Direct" 'COMPANY' has called me multiple times a day. most of the time they don't leave a voicemail when i don't answer it, but when they do all u hear is a bunch of juvenile teenage boys in the background partying and laughing. and then when i went to answer it just about an hour ago now i said hello in a pretty brash voice as i'm tired of them calling me (even though i've told them multiple times to stop) and some guy on the other end said "dude that's harsh... hahaha"
somebody really needs to shut them down.....- Caller: Education Direct

- NoneofYourBussinessA gentleman called and asked for 'Walter'. This number is possibly associated with 1-(754)-484-3851 as the phone calls asked for the same person and were received less than half an hour after the other. Let me sleep!!!

- KarenI get calls from this number several times a day. I answered this morning and all the lady did was tell me about at home schooling that I applied for. I told her I didn't apply for anything. She just hung up - then they called again just moments later!!! What is wrong with these people???
- Pam800-973-0379 - Mon 11/29/10 11:40am
Lady said that I filled out an online application and/or survey about online education. I interrupted her to say that I did not sign up for anything, am not interested, and to take me off their call list. She said not a problem.
Possible cause: I started a survey from a general survey/rewards site but closed out of the window before submitting my information to any companies so the survey site must have given/sold my information anyways.- Caller: Education Direct

- Ken replies to wagsThis company is Education Bridge and is located in New York, so whoever is being called in New York, should get together and file a class action lawsuit against them then maybe they will stop.

- Dave HThese pests never give up. They also load up your E-mail with gargage/junk and probably sell the number over and over.I have Sprint cell service and get junk E-mail from AT&T.You can block these numbers ,but once your "in the electronic pipeline ,it might be time to change phone numbers or service carriers. It seems to start when you use the internet to find a job lead.Maybe it's smarter to use the state job service office in your own area,so these jerks can't trick you out of your numbers.I blocked two other pesty callers
that wouldn't give up!! Maybe get new phone numbers, register them on do not call, and don't trust the websites to keep your information confidential like you expect them to.GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!- Caller: 800 973 0379

- upset phoneownerI have received calls from this number several times over the past month (Once every day even three times in one day) I have told them not to call be back but they constantly do. I now answer the phone and hold my phone up to my radio playing punk music at top volume, they usually only take about a min for them to hang up. Over a week has gone by since I started doing that and yet they still call.

- Don Turnblade6 calls in three days.
Probably got my number from a fraudulent FaceBook Ipad Offer.
Refused to accept no call request from any adult in my home except me.
Refused to acknowlege the company name calling, Education Resources
Acknowledged their 800 number 800-937-0379
Agent would take a request for a no call list, but
denied any pestering calls, was unable to escallate a complaint that someone
might be fraudulently calling people with a right 800 number and false name.
Supervisor, Oscar could not recognize that if their agency was purely innocent
that a report by a customer of fraudulent acquision of my phone number, fraudulent permission to call me, or fraudulent misrepresentation of his company by "Education Resources" is a deeply serious business concern that should be investigated immediately with thankfulness and vigilance.
In short, the most probable case inference is that they are all trained in a cheat and liar strategy where the moon and stars are against them rather than that their company is responsible for deliberate, knowing, unethical, fraudulent business practices.- Caller: "Education Resources"

- Don Turnblade replies to employeeDear Employee,
You might want to update your skills and move on to a more ethical company. Please, consider compaints about your company as genuine. Only 2% of customers ever complain. About, 8 potential customers are lost because of negative words from complaining customers and so that means that your company looses profits at the rate of 200 times the lost business from any single complaint. By my math, if your company does not improve its ways, in a business sense, it is not long for this world. Be sure to cash your paychecks quickly and double check that this firm does not help your identity get stolen. God only knows what your teams HR department looks like in terms of protecting your Social Security Number.
Me, I am an Information Security professional and offended potential client. I am not done influencing those eight other clients to have nothing to do with your unethical business.
But, my complaint with the commerce department was registred as 29463086
Anyone else who really dispises this companies tactics should go to the following website and log the details of their attack aganst your home, phone, identify, no call list standing and general inablity to take responsiblity for themselves at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en
They are for real and do care. If this outfit further provokes me, I just may start up a website that has nothing better to do in life that help all of you excercise the very edge of your rights under the law to ethically and legally give this company the pounding it justly desearves.
Also, dear employee, the sooner your update your resume and practice expressing sorrow that you ever were associate with this company, the better off your career is going to get. - ********tell the to add you to the DO NOT CALL LIST.....

- MarkI hate to admit this but I used to work for these nut cases.
They are using a predictive dialer (numbers are imported by a computer and dialed by the computer based on the time of day you are most likely to be home) This dialer does have issues as it auto rings a certain number of times it will hang up and move on, it also dials 5-10 numbers at a time per Agent and if it detects a person answering it will hang up on the other 4-9 numbers.
Most of their "agents" have 0 college experience and are likely never to attend a University.
Their leads come from several sources, some of them are not even legitimate sources. sites for jobs, just some company trying to make a buck on folks, in hard times. I even witnessed on more than one time finding out that the leads were possibly taken from a local phone book in your state and sold as legitimate leads to Expert Marketing LLC, previously One Simple Loan.
Location of Expert Marketing 4023 Tampa Road #2400 Oldsmar Fl, 34677

When called by this company the Service of placing you in contact with a school is legitimate.
However if you are not interested in receiving the free information on schools in your area, I suggest that when called you ask to speak to a supervisor right away. Explain that you are not interested and request both Internal and External add to their DNC or Do Not Call List, have the supervisor verify that you have been placed on the DNC list and hang up that is all.
For those of you on the National Do Not Call List, make sure to call and reaffirm your information after speaking to the company, as this was an Opt in program that is why they are able to contact you. so in order to Opt out you will have to take the call and follow the above steps in order to end the calls.
I hope this helps those who are concerned with these calls. The company is legitimate resource for people who are interested in returning to or starting an education path.
Best of Luck to all,
Mark- Caller: Education Bridge
