I received the message from "Bill" and called back.  I was told he was in a "meeting" and is never available.  So, Janet Clark shared that she could help me.  I was the finalist in a drawing and could win a 2007 Navigator or take $45,000.00; or $2500.00 cashier check, and all expense trip for two 3-day: 2-night stay with airfare included or a 32" Sharp flat screen TV.  Fortunately, it was a beautiful day in Maine, up at 5:00am, and off I went to Edgecomb, ME arriving one hour early.  There I met David Gibbons, Manager of New England Vacation Time Share at Bintliff's Ocean Grill.  Come to find out there were at least 5 groups of people going through the same wonderful experience that I was.  Dave did his "talk" (mostly about himself) and tour and never once was I told by Janet or Dave that I had to make a major life decision within an hour, I just had to listen.  In addition David shared some interesting news, which has made me feel even more upset.  Mr. Binliff is making MILLIONS from the people in Maine, trust me the cost of living is outrageous, income mid-low, etc.  He even bought the construction company building the Time Share on Eddy Street, purchased 75 additional acres for an 11,000 square foot spa, petting zoo, campground . . .  Once I stated that I was NOT going to make this type of decision on the spot, dear Dave pushed me out the door, didn't even say "good day," shake my hand . . .  Outside some woman gave me this card and told me to scratch off the circle.  I shared that I have a claim # and she stated it didn't matter.  However, Janet told me on the phone that this was VERY important and that I would not win one of the 4 prizes unless I had it written down exactly.  Needless to say, I was told I won the vacation, beacause the ink was so faint, I couldn't even read. The ticket was grabbed out of my hands and a sheet of paper was handed over.  Come to find out there are significant fees/taxes for the "winner" to pay.  Again, no basic social interaction, i.e., "thank you" "good day" "come back soon," even when I stated good-bye.  I was NOT impressed to say the least.
To add to my "fun" day, I called the "prize" winning phone number and ended up being YELLED at (words that I am not able to share!!) by some woman in NY, because I woke her up, and continued to call her "stocking" her and that my lame prize winning call was insane. I called her the one time! I arrive home to share my story with my teenage children and my son looked up the phone numbers via Google.  The woman I called has a "High Society Escort" service with very "graphic" pictures!!  Then I looked up the 1-800-996-0081 website and found this.
Life lessons learned today:
1.  All telemarketing calls are FRAUD.
2.  At age 50, I still haven't won the "prize."
3.  You can look up 800 phone numbers online.
4.  I am a teacher for a reason, I would NEVER survive in the business world!!!!!!
5.  Don't call the prize winning phone number unless you want an "Escort" with a very interesting vocabulary!!
6.  Even though I fell for a scam today, I still believe in the good of people, just be more alert with those people I don't know!!

I have received calls from Bill at 1-800-966-0081 and from 1-866-818-8040, both claiming that I entered a contest to win a car. At this point I have won one of the four major prizes: car, cash , trip, or flat screen tv.
I told them that I did not enter a contest like this. They said maybe someone entered for me

I just won a Lincoln Navigator too but must be used because it is a 2007 - last years model! Bill just left a message on my phone congratulating me. It seems that he didn't know my name. At least he didn't use it. Or maybe the call was for someone else in the house, like my dog maybe. The call back number that was left was 800-996-0081. (I think I will have my dog call him back.)

I received the same message that I won a Lincoln Navigator.  I called the number and got a message asking me to leave my name and number.  Have these scam artists been found yet?

I received a phone call from Bill- congratulating me on winning a Lincoln Navigator. I have been sitting here waiting for the car to be delivered or at least a phone call regarding this congratulatory message. Please advise. Thank you

If I have a choice of colors of this Lincoln Navigator, I prefer white or black

and just think, we're helping the economy by:

A)  buying gas every day for these gas-guzzling SUVs

caller left message - said he was calling from prize claim headquarters and I had won a 2007 Navigator - his name was bill.

Bill sure has a lot of 2007 Lincoln Navigators to give away!  I got this phone message/scam just last week as a message, of course, no answer from "Bill" on the return call - scumbag!

Bill called, he want's to tell me about my 2007 Lincoln navigator, I want the 2009, so I reported him and the two phone numbers 800 996 0081 and 312 625 5542 to www.donotcall.gov. I am on the do not call list.

received a call on my answering machine from Bill on 10/2/08 stating that I won a 2008 Lincoln Navigator or 45,000 cash.  Said to call back 800-996-0081
(phone number on caller ID was 708-441-8053 - Illinois Call) then today 10/3/08 got a message on my anwsering machine from Barry stating that I had won a 2008 Navigator or 45,000 cash thru the Grand Sweepstakes Giveaway said to call back 866-818-8040 X 8053. (phone number on call ID was 708-441-8053 - Claims Dept.)

I guess these guys may be reading our comments because now they are offering a 2008 instead of a 2007 Lincoln Navigator. ha ha

If and when I get chance to talk to any of these solicitors I'll ask them how many winners there are because they seem to be promising a whole shitload fleet of these Lincolns!

I got the same call from 'Bill' from 312-488-1853 registered to Trent Brooks. I could not get a hold of anyone on that number. From the message and everyone's experience above, it seems like a scam. If he calls anyone back, and you are at home to answer the phone, we should scam him back! An eye for an eye!

I got the same message from that damn Bill and I wasn't sure if it was valid or not... that kind of crap just makes me furious.

Won a 2007 Licoln Navigator, when I called back to have fun with the scammer, I was told that Bill, the person who left the message was on the phone, but his assistant (can't remember her name) could help me claim my new car.  I pointed out that 2007 was not new, and she told me that Bill was actually in a meeting to discuss that.  Yeah, right.  I asked which contest I had entered and she informed me that it was a contest that was run in our area.  I asked what area that was, and after enough hesitation to look up my number on an ID screen, she got it right.  I told her that I knew this was a scam and not to call back.  We will see.

Bill is such a nice young man I would love to have him as my  son-n-law.
