Report a phone call from 801-437-3150 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- NanI had a call around 7 pm, I answered, but by the time I answered, they had already hung up. My caller ID says the call was from from 801-437-5050, CCI Communications. I called 801-437-5050 and reached a tape recording saying it is Western Wats Center, that they perform independent survey research for manufacturers, politicians, and other parties, that their website is www.westernwats.com. The presidential primaries for the Nov 08 elections are underway right now, so may it's a political opinion survey. Maybe I'll answer faster if they call again. Their website says Western Wats is the leading provider of survey research data collection. . . and so on.

- deborahstarted getting calls from this number
dont want to receive them anymore - Mary-NLThis number was on my caller ID in late March, 2008.
Mary (Newfoundland & Labrador, CA) - CBthey are calling to see who you would vote for, they mention McCain and Obama, not Clinton. I think they are calling for Obama supporters, but they got my number, and my number is unlisted, unpulbished and on the do not call list. They didn't try to sell me anything, it took about 15 minutes, it wasn't too late, but I didn't want to answer because I didn't not recognize the number. I got tired of them calling and wanted to find out who it was. They asked for the primary decision maker. I am glad to have gotten it overwith and hope they do not call again. But I think they might because I answered. Who knows.

- with WWatsi work for this company... and yes we call you alot.
we are NOT covered by the federal DO NOT CALL law since this law is only for the TeleMarketing firms (those sales calls you usually get) and since WE at WesternWats are doing surveys and not making calls that asks money or donation... all your efforts of filing a complain would be worthless. So better take the surveys, and look at its bright side... You help companies make and do good products and services for you (demanding consumers) and even help the government figure out issues and create agenda to serve the nation well... YES!!! even the government pay us to call you!!!- Caller: WesternWats

You moron: "so better take the survey...etc".
Just what sort of value does your company place on survey results given by people who are only doing it to shut you up and get you off their back. If I did it I'd give you all weird answers just to screw your fugures and make the government think twice about paying you anything for your lousy inaccurate surveys.
I hope your company goes bust and you lose your lousy job- Caller: WesternWats
- Western Wats EmployeeThe Do Not Call List or FCC won't help since we don't sell - we do market research and political "message testing" surveys (ie push polls of varying degrees of offensiveness). To get us to stop calling you have to specifically tell us you're not interested or ask to be put on our do not call list (which I don't think is WW-wide, if we're calling on a MWR research call you'll be put on their list, if we're calling for research company X you'll be put on their list, etc - so you may still get different 801 calls). If we have a survey for the listed respondent only some rep's who really care about their stats might only take a no or a put me on your list from the respondent - just either put them on the phone to say no or pretend to be them next time we call. If you just hang up on us we'll call back. We don't leave messages on machines even when we can tell we got a machine/VM (because of our predictive dialers we get dead air a lot of the time and can't tell if someone's already answered and hung up or we have a machine and missed the outgoing message, etc.- that's the same reason why you may get an intro on your machine from someone oblivious to the fact that they're on a machine.) to save time and increase the odds of someone answering the next time - If you know it's going to be a survey the next time someone calls you're more likely to keep on screening. How often we call depends on the size of our sample - if we're only calling a town or a county for a survey you might get several tries in a day if you don't bother to answer and shut us down. If we're calling for a market research survey for a large base of companies or a state-wide poll it might be a couple of days before we call again.
