They called my personal cell phone. The guy said "This is James from Family Protection. How are you?"

This is a marketing scam for home security systems.  I got them to stop calling by making several no-show appointments with a sales member at random addresses with random names.  After a few of them called quite upset at me for wasting their time standing them up, they got the message and stopped wasting mine.

This number called my cell 4 times yesterday between 8:00 & 9:00 a.m. and again today at 1:45 p.m.  Apparently the good ol' Mormons in Utah are above the law and don't abide by the do-not-call list!

if they get new business through word of mouth, I would have asked "then why do you need to call?'

Woman called and said she was a  precision steel company selling steel and wanted to know how much we buy.

I answered "law offices" on my cellular phone and there was nothing there at first then an automated voice saying "Hi, this is Matt." At which point I hung up. Then I did some research and here is what I have learned. I have had calls from this company before, so it was easy to recall the information. This company is actually a security alarm service based in Salt Lake City, UT. They employ very aggressive sales tactics, have been under investigation and even thrown out of the State of Louisiana. Their salesmen will bully you especially if you are elderly into a contract if they can install the system for free. The monthly bill comes from them over what you were quoted. If you try and cancel, they want a cancellation fee of $200+. Their alarm will inadvertently go off (inferior equipment) and you'll get police, fire and medical on a good day. The Idaho Attorney general has received complaints on this company and they helped in resolving a dispute between my girlfriends dad and this company. They are not rated with the SLC Better Business Bureau.

Just called and the message was so garbled that I couldn't understand any words.  When I asked to repeat it they hung up!

"Hi, this is Matt from Home Security One" ... then hung up.

I'm on DNC list but clearly that means nothing anymore.

Just answer the call "FBI Field Office- Agent (so and so) speaking...sound real prefessional, the calls stop immediately

I got a call from that same number with a guy trying to pitch a home protection system however, when he mumbled his name and I asked him to repeat his name he ignored me and went into a set of questions. When I tried to stop him to get his name again his response didn't match my question and I realized then it was a sophisticated robo call and I was talking to a machine. Oh, and yes I'm on a DNC list which is useless. My next step is blocking each number, as the come in, through my cell phone provider or an app.

Called my cell, auto message came on try to sound convincing.  I asked not to call then it hung up on me.

Everything M said is correct.  They said the same thing when I answered thinking it was somebody else calling.  I told them NO to Lose this number several times and hung up on the guy.

Called twice but didn't leave a message. When I looked up the number on the White Pages reverse caller, there was a message that said:"High spam level

This number has been associated with heavy spam activities"

am registered with DNC  Has done nothing  This number called my cell  and I do not give that number out???????

Answer the phone no one there. Call again and wanted to sell me something protection, this is a SCAM PERIOD.

A young boy left a message and said his "keeper" was from the "Young Boy Love Association" and they
were looking to start a network of boys interested in dating older men.  I've turned it over to the Consumer
Financial Protection Bureau..some sort of quackery going on here, none involving Donald or Daffy, either!
