I received around 12 video calls from this number. I immediately hung up, but he kept calling over and over. I was driving at the time, so I had a friend in the car answer. He said his name was Michael Scott and he knew my name. He claimed he was transferring contacts to a new phone and my name was in his contacts, but he couldn’t remember who I was, which is why he FaceTimed me. I think it was a scam which is why I am reporting.

It could be a new take on the wrong number scam.  Usually they begin with a text message but perhaps the scammers are changing tactics.  Regardless of the motive, you're right to post this and block the number.

This guy called me this am saying he needed help with one of my listings and also a lender referral. Of course, I said ok, which one. He was looking. He couldn't tell me what it looked like nor where it was other than the state. I eventually hung up after he tried to facetime me. Obviously a scam of some sort. After checking here, I wish I hung up earlier. Maybe trying to collect voice for an AI scam.

This number kept repeatedly trying to FaceTime me. He knew my name and said “Amanda wants to talk to you.” I hung up and he kept calling over and over.

Received a FaceTime video call last night and I was in a dead sleep. I only picked up because they called repeatedly and I thought maybe it could be my son. He kept asking if I remembered selling his family their home? When  I asked what home, he didn’t respond. He also never gave me a name. I hung up and then he proceeded to call me multiple times in a row. I blocked the number, complete scammer.

This happened to me tonight. He called 15 times and tried to Facetime. I didn't answer at all.  It was scaring my daughter so I looked up the number, and found this thread. Glad I didn't answer! Must be a scam!

Just happened to me. Said his name was Mike. Creepy voice, said he needed help with the listing. Said for me to wait he needed to look it up. Then he tried to FaceTime me. I hung up. He called back. I declined the call and then blocked him.

OK, this kind of connects as I am also an agent. Probably some kind of Zillow scammer.

It just happened to me. He said his name was micheal and he was calling about one of my listings that he wanted to purchase. He asked if there was anyone else with me because he wanted confidentiality. He kept trying to FaceTime me. He said he was trying to fix the camera. I finally hung up and blocked the number.

Often this approach is done as a way to try to establish credibility and trust. Then you get the pitch for some product or service.
The Bitcoin scammers use vague "lure" texts to get you to reply - and then listen to their spiel. Both techniques are cut from the same cloth; the more they engage you, the more apt you are to listen out of politeness.
