They said that they were calling from the Sheriff's Office to let me know that I had a citation because I had missed jury duty on 3/6. They said that the summons was mailed on 1/6. They said my address and asked if that was the correct mailing address and I said yes. They asked me to confirm that the county I live in. They then told me they were going to have to transfer me to a supervisor and that I needed to write down the citation reference numbers. They had me repeat the numbers back to them and then told me they were going to put me on hold while they transferred me to a supervisor. At that point I hung up because I decided the best way to find out if it was real was to call the  Sheriff's Office on their posted phone number. Before I could do that, they called me back but I didn't answer. I was later able to confirm with the County Clerk of Court that there was no jury duty that day and that it was a scam.
