    Possible Scam Alert – 803-756-8858 Received a call from 803-756-8858 claiming to be the Sheriff's Department. The caller said I failed to appear for Jury Duty today and demanded $2,000 or that I turn myself in. This seems like a scam, as legitimate law enforcement does not request payments over the phone. Be cautious and do not share personal information!

    100% a scam. You can't buy your way out of not appearing for jury duty. I bet they would want payment in Gift Cards.
    Haven't seen this scam reported in a while, I guess it is being revived.
