I received a call from that number this morning on my cell, he left a message saying If I didn't call back I would be arrested.

Received two messages today. Both saying the same as everyone else below. Indian sounding guy. First number 804 461 3497 was Kenneth mathews. Said don't ignore this message. Second call 2 hrs later. Exact same voice and almost same message except the number was 8044 613 428. That is how he paused when saying the number. And now his name is Charlie king.

I got this same voice mail! Thanks everyone for posting so that I know to disregard!

Message on machine was a foreign (India) man;
”This is the tax Audit Department of IRS.  The nature and purpose of this call is to inform you that we receive a legal complaint against your name, a legal notice against your name concerning a tax fraud and concerning a tax evasion on your name. So finally before we take this matter to the court house and before we issue a warrant for your arrest, kindly call us back at this number 804-461-3497 (he repeats number).  Don’t disregard this message and do return the call as soon as possible.  Have a great day. Bye Bye.”  
When we called the number back it went to a full voicemail box.

We did call the IRS, it is a scam. They said some people are going and getting the prepaid visa cards to pay these people.    
The IRS also said to type in comments even if it is the same as other peoples complaint so everyone knows it is a scam and not to send money.  They would notify someone with a registered letter, no phone calls.

I received the exact same message from a fellow with an Indian accent to a Google voice number. Obviously a scam. What are these guys thinking? It's so easy for the Government to catch them!

Add me to the list of callee's.  Everything was identical to what others have experienced down to the "don't disregard" and "have a great day, bye bye."  I have no intention of calling the little weasel back.  

Received a call from a man with an Indian accent on answering machine.  The I.D. phone number came up as 213 271-1644. He said that a lien will be taken against our bank account, home etc., also a warrant for my arrest and to call 804 461-3497 immediately. Then he said, "Do not dismiss this call, and to have a nice day" I did not call the number thinking that it must be a scam.

Got a call 12/17 from a guy claiming he was from the IRS and my name came up for tax evasion and tax fraud.  Caller said I will be arrested unless I call back at 804-461-3497.  Reported the call the local police dept. and called the local IRS service center to alert them that someone is using the agency for scamming, which is a federal offense.

I received the same phone call from a Indian guy stated that the IRS has a legal complaint against "me" used no individual name, for tax fraud and tax evasion and not to ignore the message.
I know that the IRS would never call me or email me if there was any tax problem their mode of communication is via mail. .Please do not call again for we are on the do not call list.
