Most city numbers go through this one. Mine was for an interview with a city office. Its a phone tree root so that people can't call up specific people and bug them

I got a call from this number but they never left a message on my voicemail? who is this?

This number is from the City and County of Honolulu (fire department, police department, Honolulu zoo, etc.).  This is a trunk number, so no matter which C&C office calls you, it will show up as 808-768-0000 and you cannot call back this number.

why confuse the peoples or mislead with putting an actual number.Why go through so much trouble?When all they gotta do like most people do put 'PRIVATE'?S Now i understand that call i had the other day,from WORK FORCE HAWAII,pertaing to my sons admittance at YOUTH CHALLENGE ACADEMY.... Now because its about my son ,which is important to me,COULDNT CALL HER BACK .Theres a recorder saying ,"I DAILED THE WRONG NUMBER.OR THERES NO SUCH NUMBER."!!!NNOW THIS REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!! WOULDNT YOU?...........

I received a email prior to today regarding an interview. I missed the call and dialed back, and its a dead it.  unsure if its to verify my interview for tomorrow or cancel.

CITY & COUNTY OF HONOLULU....it's their outbound generic number. I typically get calls from the DA's office with this number showing. I've gotten calls from various detectives also from this number. You can google it and there's plenty of info regarding 808-768-0000 You are UNABLE to call this number because it's an outbound extension for the City & County of Honolulu. Though, more likely than not, if you're getting a call from THIS number, a detective will be questioning you about something. If there's no message left, its probably NOT an urgent matter.

This number called me

Just got two consecutive calls from this number with caller ID:  CC OF HONOLULU.   Just one ring each and it stopped (I have a robocall block on my phone).  Opened up the phone log on my cable tv caller ID and the number 608-371-6666 is listed at exactly the same times as the two CC OF HONOLULU calls.  Could telemarketers be using/spoofing this legitimate number to get you to answer???

Got a call from this number.  Turns out police dept was returning my call after i had hung up due to the long wait after being transferred to them from the 911 operator.  Yes, they do know what number is calling them.
