this number calls our office all the time but never leaves a message - I finally blocked them

Rude man claiming to be the Police Department looking for sponsors to help the Big Island, he demands to speak to upper management , "regional management" but when asked for his name, he will not answer - haha try harder!

He was rude, asked if the company that he called (me) was a personal or public entity. I asked him to repeat himself, and he stated he does not like to repeat himself (again, rude). When I told him it was public, he hung up the phone.

Do not believe this guy claiming to be from The Police Dept asking for donations for domestic abuse. When I asked him for his name and number he was rude saying: did I not make my self clear? I asked for a supervisor and hung up. SCAM SCAM SCAM

This may was horrible rude and arrogant.  He stated he was calling for police department and by no means is he part of law enforcement. I had to look up his number as I was going to call his supervisor to tell them he should be removed from dealing with the public!

This guy demanded to know my name and to confirm my employer.  He knew my first name and mentioned the name of my customer.  So, he knew something about me.  I asked who he was and he got very irritated.  Said this is urgent and I need to expedite this.  I said excuse me.  He cursed and hung up on me.

Gentleman was very rude, called asking for the owner. When I told him the owner did not come into the office and asked if I could help him he spoke down to me and told me that he was a first year law student was we better than me. He would not speak to me and would only speak to the owner or VP.

Rude gentleman called, asked for Regional Manager or Business manager. I asked what department in particular he was looking for because with have both managers and directors but different departments. He was so rude I wished had ended the call much sooner.

Did you find out what he was calling about? My guess is a business call to sell something.

SCAM - this rude man called saying he was from the Bakerfield police department asking for donations for domestic abuse.  When I told him I could take his name/number and would have someone call him back.  He said I obliviously didn't understand what he was saying.  My response was "I'm only a receptionist you might have to explain it again."  His response was that he was a law student and spoke every eloquently and didn't need to repeat himself.  Not sure why and 808 (Hawaii area code) is calling from the Bakersfield Police Department.

Guy calls asking for Regional District manager. Then asking for Area manager. Followed by rudeness then hang up. I have been ringing him back since he hung up on me. i can do this all day and bother him back, it dont bother me. should have blocked his number!

I answered the landline in my usual, professional manner and no response at first. I said, "hello". Then the guy says, "oh there you are.....is this a recording because I could barely hear you?" I say, "No. How can help you?" He tells me that I must have allergies or a cold because that is the only reason he could think of as to why I was speaking so low. I asked him, "May I ask who this is?" He replies with, "Was I not clear? You must be beyond any reason of intelligence". As I am about to say, "Excuse me, but you called my office.......", he hangs up on me.
Seriously, who does this? Does he actually get people to fall for his scam with that kind of rudeness?

Absolutely RUDE!! He called asking for my "principle director" by first name. When I tried to clarify, he refused to say who he was or why he was calling.

I got the same exact script as Erin above. I think it might be a mentally disabled person making random phone calls and saying the same things to people. I've received 3 other similarly rude calls from him on my office line over the course of a two week period. Every time I answer he always mentions something about my voice and the way I speak. Call always ends with him hanging up on me. He THEN somehow got ahold of my cell number and asked for my mother by name! Very unsettling and strange. I saved the number in my cell so I know not to answer when he calls again. He needs to be tracked down and stopped. It's harassment at this point.

By the way, if you call back and get a voicemail message saying "memory full", it is just a recording of a voicemail message rather than a real voicemail inbox. I've been on the line for 20 minutes now listening to it play over and over every few minutes or so and then he plays a recording of a hang up too so that you think it's real and end the call yourself. It's all too weird.

I second all of the notes above. Very rude and condescending.

Guy said i drank to much coffee and i was hyper  and wanted to speak to the owner, then he hung up on me said i was rude.

I picked up the phone and the guy asked if this was a business.  I said yes.  He asked "why didn't you identify yourself as a business?"   I hung up and blocked he number.
