- Martina| 2 repliesI have just received 4 unsolicited messages from this number, 2 of which offered a downloadable video which I didn't want. I do not expect to be charged for this as I did not request it.
Please ensure that my number is removed from your records as I will never want anything you have to offer. - DEX| 1 replyThis is totally wrong, I just got charged for deleting two text messages that I didn't even download. How do you stop this fraud and daylight robbery?

- RandalI received a text from 81213 out of the blue on 5.1.11, luckily my phone didnt have enough credit on it to receive the text! (why am i being charged for an unsolicited text message?)
I texted back STOP to that number and I got another message, free this time, to say my number will be removed from their data base in 1 to 2 working days. What data base? Is this action contrary to the Data Protection Act of the UK?- Caller: 81213

- teslarecieving text messages from phone number 81213 saying thanks for downloadingvideo. I had previously recievede a text message from +447787894588 which whilst trying to delete connected to wap and started to download. I immediatley stopped WAP connection but then received text to say thanks for downloadingvideo. It had not had time to download anything.
Have texted Stop and then STOP to 81213, but do not wish to be charged for the unsolicited and unreceived video.
Unsolicited misleading calls and then charging for non receipt of goods whether intentional or not is illegal in all other forms of commerce.
Vodafone are dealing with it , we shall see what transpires. - LesleyP| 3 repliesI received three texts from 81213 on Jan 27th this year, all within a minute of each other, but I didn't I didn't have a clue who they were from, so I didn't download anything, instead I texted STOP straightaway, and then deleted the three texts from my inbox.
Then when my next mob phone bill arrived I noticed that I'd been charged £1.25 per text! And to add insult to injury I also got charged £0.08 for sending the STOP text!! Thus making a total of £3.83 for something that has been puzzling for months.... until I read about it here today.
I hate companies that do this to innocent people, what a scam!
I haven't contacted anyone about this, as I didn't think that I had any chance of getting my money back. Plus I thought that the people behind 81213 would be long gone and that I'd have no recourse.
Wonder if I've left it too late to try and claim my money back?- Caller: Unknown
- RJ replies to LesleyPLesley - sorry I have no answer for you, but I have only discovered today by Google searching the 81213 number which appeared on my telephone bill - and was shocked to find 6 x £1.50 charges - £9.00 on the monthly bill was very noticeable for someone who does not use the mobile very often.
Had never really been aware of these scams and thought someone was trying to contact me legitimately.
£9.00 from my monthly availble money is a lot and I will certainly be taking it further ! - Not HappyI received three texts all within a minute and was charged £1.25 each time. Have spoken to Vodafone and apparently its not their fault and wont refund me. I have a contact number for the compnay 08706091795. Just a scam, you've to leave a message and someone will contact me....yeah right!!!
