Calls from 813-881-1700 are legitimate. They are offering to pick up your donations for Red Cross, Paralyzed Veterans and other charity organizations.

have got a call from this # 813-881-1700 for about 2 months now will p/u  clothing in your area we tell no we dont need them that we drop off to goodwill but you cant get them to stop calling and we are on the no call list

Yes this is legit, but once you do it they dont' leave you alone.... it's brutal.  I have even asked to be taken off their call list because I have no more to give.... nope keep calling.

This number calls our house everyday early in the morning and late at night. No message is left. Someone needs to fix this. Why is there a do not call list if it is not enforced.

This number calls multiple times daily.  No one ever leaves a message.  What happened to the no call list?  They call early on weekends and late during the week.  I gather from the other posts that this is The Red Cross, but that sounds just a little dodgy to me.  Not answering and NOT leaving any donations outside of my house.

Got a call from this number 1 (813) 881-1700. Just found out it was Red Cross- charity clothing. Last week I received a call from Red Cross requesting donations of clothing (& household goods I believe?) but the number was different. They called 2 days prior to picking up my donation to confirm. The night before they called again requesting that we change the marking on the bags from "Charity" to "PVC" . Just seems weird...Don't think I'll be donating anything else to them. They must think that we have things to donate every couple of days judging by the amount of phone calls...

The other calls I've received say Merchandise Pickup on the caller ID.

However, who do you know that has donations to donate every couple of days if not everyday?  It's harassment plain and simple!

Got a call from them at 8:00 this morning, woke me up. Caller said it was Paralyzed Veterans.  Spoke with someone who identified herself as Stephanie. Complained about waking me up and she apologized. Caller ID was "Unavailable." Also get calls every couple days from "Merchandise Pickup."  Have been on the don't call list for years.  Since some people posting here have received calls from the same number who identified themselves as Red Cross, I'm thinking that this is some kind of scam. If I have to guess, I believe someone has their own thrift store and is getting their merchandise free.

Receive calls two & three times a day,no one answers .
Looked it up on Google & it is merchandise pic &Schmitt ind.

I am a veteran & getting tired of getting bothered by their calls, They never answer & you can't call them back. Please stop calling me.

Same as others-- junk calling relentlessly, and we don't seem to be able to block it or stop them.

They call every day and never answer. Caller ID says Clothing Pick UP.

This number constantly calls my home and when answered there's never anyone on the other end. Very, very annoying and at times disruptive.

I, too, have been getting calls from Merchandise Pic.  So glad for caller ID as I do not answer.  Glad I'm not the only one getting these annoying calls.

2014-April: There is NO legitimate company in Tampa Bay area by that name. These people are posing as a charity and likely reselling on eBay or something.  **DO NOT TRUST**

When 813-881-1700 calls us, multiple times per day every day, their recording starts playing on our machine and then suddenly a male interrupts the message "Hello, Mrs. _____" stating our last name.  As we are not familiar with this number nor company, AND that our number is NOT LISTED, AND on the DO-NOT-CALL list, this is an invasion of privacy.
