I  received calls from 813-995-6249 for about a week. I was left a voice message from a middle eastern claiming to be Justin Gibbs from the Department of Law and Investigations stating that my SSN # was under investigation because my niece had used it for fraudulent loans.  I did not respond so they contacted my brother-in-law with the same story, only in this story I had used his social.  I new this was a scam and was going to ignore it, but they called so often that they aggravated me.  I decided one good turn deserves another.  I first answered there call on Monday night saying "Hello Habib." He began laughing and hung up. He called back and I just continued to mess with him using phrases I saw on comedy central.  Then I had friends call him pretending to be different people on my behalf.  Basically in these conversations he can't get a word in and we talk about everything except what he's calling for.  I also leave crazy messages-sometimes I sing.  Finally I was told today I couldn't speak to "Habib" anymore and they were no longer taking incoming calls. For everyone who gets called 20 times a day from this number, know that I call them just as much!  They hate me!

I received a call from this number today. It was the first call I have received and I freaked out. I do have debt and have gotten a handle on it and have called every one I owe so I was like what is this for. The first man identified himself as Peter he went through the same thing they were going to bring me to court tomorrow if I did not pay. He also got very irrate when I started asking questions he could not give me the name of the loan place I owed money to. I called back several times and got someone different each time but they wereall named Peter. I was told by one of my collectors that this is a scam and they have been receiving a ton of calls about it. I had to leave work to get this all figured out and my employer was not happy. Best advice don't freak out like I did and don't send them money

Me too - they continually call my cell and work numbers, even though I have asked them repeatedly to stop. I try to ask them what debt they are referring to but never give me any information. They also have said they are Department of Legal Investigations and are going to have me arrested - and when I tell them it is against the law for them to misrepresent themselves as law enforcement, they scream at me....then hang up.

Okay, they called and left a message that an old acquantance used me as a "guarantee" to a loan, signed a legal contract that I would pay if they didn't. yeah, right. She was middle eastern and I could barely understand the message. I called back, and they just tell me they had an obligation to tell me he defaulted because he used me as a "reference". So, I had him call. They act like they didn't understand his name. I called back from my # with him on the phone, now it's a pharmacy...They don't know what I'm talking about. All of these calls made within a 15 minute span. LOL. The voice was clearly the guy I spoke to when I called them the first time.

I got a message on my home phone telling me that I was going to be in trouble if I did not have someone named Christopher Bagnell call them right away as he was using me as a reference on "legal paper".  When I called back they would not talk to me unless I gave them my home phone which I would not.  then they hung up.

I told this knucklehead by the name of Sam Johnson that he better never call me at work again.  This incident just happened on July 26 and July 27th.  I went home called this guy back and asked him what bill have I not paid, tell me the company.  Could not answwer.  When he spoke has a very heavy accent and has poor english skills.  He would speak far away from the phone.  I told him I had an Attorney and that they would be contacting him.  I told him he better never call again and harrass me.   This knucklehead just messed with the wrong person.  I tried calling back and would go to voicemail.  These people ought to be put away.  Number given is 813/995-6249.  

I pray to God you catch these incompetent people.  A guy by the name of Peter would answer the phone then direct call to ext. 80001

Message today from a woman with a strong accent, left this ( 813) 995-6249 telephone number , stating she was calling from  Department of Law and Investigations. Supposedly someone had used my name and commited fraud. There was aloud of noise in the background, of people talking with the same accents. I checked out the teltphone number in the reverse look up numbers of the white pages, and it is out of Tampa North, Florida. I won't be calling it back after looking it up here on Google and seeing it is a scam. That is what I figured it was anyway.If in fact it was that important, and from a Law and Investigations, they wouldn't leave a message with so much information, and would just leave a call back number.

I have been getting the same kind of phone calls. The guy says his name is ALLEN WALKER and that he is from the Depatment of Law and Investigation. I needed to call him right away or that I will face hard unwanted consequences and that my S.S number was under investigation..Now if that is not scary, how the hec are the darn people getting all this darn information is what I would like to know. I think that monday I am going to call the FBI and I have got all there messages saved. Oh and tthey also say that they are from Dispute Resolution Center is the new name they gave just this afternoon..Thats different from this morning..The same name and number of person to call back.. Tomorrow is saturday I dont have to many plans going on so I just might give then a taste of there own B.S.
