Same thing. Calls then won't talk, when called back pre recorded message 'this phone no longer in service'

Seems to me they are fishing for info. You call back caller I'd tell em yr name....

received a call at 10:55 am EST on 10/27...."We want to inform you that your account is fine, but want to offer you......blah blah blah....."  Shouldn't they need to abide by the Do Not Call List ????  all recorded message

They don't follow the "do not call" list because they are scammers.  The number you see on your caller ID is NOT the real number they are calling from.  It is "spoofed", and in this case not even in service.  A computer dials numbers in sequence,  It doesn't care if you are on the DNC list or not.  All they are doing is trying to reach someone who is stupid enough to give them some personal info regarding their credit card, so they can use it to run up a huge bill on your account.  The biggest problem I see here is people answering calls from numbers they don't know.  Just don't answer.

If you call the number it has a recording that says we're sorry the number you tried to call is no longer in service and it sounds like someone is dropping things in the background like the company that is trying to scam you recorded it themselves and have this voice recording playing over and over again, in less than 5 mins of returning the call I got this recording. These people need to go get a job instead of stealing other peoples hard earned money.

I just received the exact same call.  I would never give out personal info over the phone.  I googled the number and came to this site.  I tried calling to see if it was disconnected.  Yup.  Sure was.

I too received a call from this number and it appeared suspicious. Reading all the comments, if you don't know the number, don't pick it up.

I recieved a call from this number a few minutes ago. I didn't answer it, and they did not leave a message. When I tried calling it back, it rang 2 times, then a message that sounded like (but was not) the standard "disconnected message" came on the line, ran 2 times in a loop, and then the call was disconnected....

WARNING …. 814 929-4521 "Credit Card Services"   Pennsylvania…. callers are   B I G   credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these bottom feeding parasites your credit card number.  "There isn't a problem with your credit card!  We just need to update some information”. Yeah, I fell off a turnip wagon last night!  I reported this to the consumer protection agency in my state and I urge anyone else receiving a call from this number to do the same.

I just missed a call from this number. They left a number to call back  NOT the number on the caller id It was a 999 number.
I JUST BLOCKED THE #  from calling again .My theory is if you have something to say it just dont leave a number and an extend  without a message!!!!
