Someone called pretending to be from the IRS and asked for my Social Security number to “verify” the call. Don’t fall for it - it’s a scam. Just hang up and don’t give out any info. I never share personal details over the phone with anyone, no matter what.
This phone number has already been reported to both federal and state authorities, and it’s also listed on several websites where people report scam calls to warn others. The number I entered here is accurate and has no typos. I double-checked it before submitting this comment. Stay alert and don’t engage with these kinds of calls.

I received a text message from this number explaining that they were “Xena, from Excel” and we had spoken before. The message then offered a “number of job openings” that “are a good fit for you”. SCAM!
