I received a call form this guy this morning at 7:30 eastern standard time, stating I was being sued. I asked  him by whom and he wouldn't say. Stated that som sort of papaers should have been srved at my job. I asked what this was about, he just kept saying he was an attorney and the name of the law firm. When I kept questioning him, he said I was going to be arrested at my job at 10:00 this morning. He had an accent.

I  was called by these people. I was threatened to go to jail. I was told someone would be at my employer on Monday to arrest me for not paying a payday loan. They would not tell me who was suing me??? Yet, they had my information, my age, my social and my place of employment. They scared me thinking I was going to jail for something I did NOT do. They told me it would be on my Transunion credit report. I pulled it with FreeCreditReport.com and the rep from freecreditreport stayed on the line with me, they stated it sounded like a scam. Nothing was on there, AT ALL. I called this so called Federal Legislative Lawfirm back and I told them there is no record, they then changed their story. They would investigate and I should not worry. That no legal action would be taken. THEY ARE BIG SCAM ARTIST !!! WATCH OUT !!!!!!

I got the same voice mail that everyone else has been talking about. This guy named "john" that had a very thick Indian accent told me that he worked for the "Federal Legislative Law Firm" and that I was having federal charges being brought against me. That it was in my best interest to return his call at the 8183373051 number, that if I received any further information on this case to call him, and that if I did not call him that he could not help me. I could not think of any reason what so ever that I should be getting sued so at first I googled the name of the law firm and of course there was no law firm that pulled up by that name so I googled the number and it brought me to this site.  These people have my name, my number, and part of my social security number I really hope something gets done about this before someone falls for this scam like I almost did.

I'm getting the same as everyone...I just don't get this whole scam...do they actually get money out of people?  Well I reversed the whole thing...I kept calling them back...like 56 times...I kept getting, "this mail box is full" but I think they can see you are calling...because after about 40 something calls back to them, they called me back...and boy they were nasty...I kept telling them they were a scam and I was going to have them arrested...lol..I played with this A** for about 5 mins...I told him I reported him the my states attorney and he kept saying "oh shut up"  Ok first of all, a lay firm would not talk to me this way and second of all you can not even speak english...and the messages they left on my work phone were all muffled and I could not even understand them...who is paying these crazy ass people to do this and if they are getting money of out some poor person, how in the world are they getting away with this?  They need to get  a real job!

They harass people on the phone and try to extort money from them, saying that they represent the creditor, but in reality pocket all of the money and none of it is applied to the debt.

I also recieved a call from this number he also told me i was being sued for an online payday loan i never did online he told me his name was david and he didnt give me any information about when i did the loan or how much it was.

yea he also told me that i would be getting papers served to my job and i was gonna be arrested and he said i was gonna be shipped from louisiana to Cali. I was like WTF he called me out my SS number and everything

YEA I DID THE SAME THING BUT I WONDER HOW IN THE HELL DID THEY GET ALL THIS INFORMATION ABOUT ME LIKE THAT I MEAN THEY REALLY HAD ME FREAKED OUT SO IM REALLY GLAD I GOOGLE THIS NUMBER IN READ I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS GETTIN THESE CALLS FROM THESE DAMN PEOPLE CAUSE I WAS ABOUT TO GO GET A LAWYER CAUSE I DIDNT UNDERSTAND WTF I WAS GETTING SUED FOR

I recieved the same call and these people knew my ss#, address and phone #.  I hope it is a scam and there will be no problems. If anyone has any more info please post.  all the posts are just like what happen to me.

i got a call from 818-337-3051 and they said that iam going to be sued and that they are from a law frim. and here is one more phone number i keep on getting a call from 925-331-6002 they say they are a law frim too and that they going to sue me too. they say its about a pay day loan, and they are from CA. USA.

dont anser your cell phone just make sure you wright down the number so you no who is calling you.

the number 818-337-3051 is coming from winnetka, ca. and yes it is a land line.

and the mail box was full I googled the law firm and number and it brought me here.

Yeah they got me as well, called and said I owe money, and that i was going to have a warrant out for me if i didn't paid. And i hate i fell for it but they got me out of $300. I hate that I sent it with a copy of my i.d., then i realize it was a scam after i talked with all my bill collectors. I just wish i could get my hands on any of these foreigners claiming to be americans, David Cooper, Chris,Rick etc, with all this noise in the background. Then when you ask questions they hang up. They're all foreigners with American names. Never again now I'm very well aware of these [***].
