Same number, same message from this idiot calling themselves Steve Martin .. Some body arrest this guy, please.. I think it is the second time he has called.

harassing calls saying they're from the Treasury Department and threatening to have me arrested

This same guy called several months ago telling me that if I didn't pay that day they would come and arrest me and throw me in jail for years, seize my bank house,bank accounts, and contact my employer.  I'm still waiting.  These people are just trying to intimidate people into giving them money.  They are so bad at it, it is laughable.  Their heavy accent (I think it is Indian) and total sophomoric approach is just ridiculous.  The only sad thing is that some people must be falling for this scam because they have been doing it for a long time.

Same as above - thanks for recording your experience.  I was able to quickly detemine this is a scam! Same number - pre-recorded message in heavy Indian accent. 831-435-1054.  Busy signal when I attempted to call back.

Same-o-same -- Steve Martin with a very strong accent.  He says I'm wanted by the IRS, but doesn't say my name.  This number should be reported to the Treasury Department or FBI.  

Same message about taxes and IRS and I would be arrested in an hour. I left home just in case,great excuse to drink a beer. I called back a few times for fun. What are the odds of getting an Indian dude each time at the IRS. What they don't hire gringos at the IRS any more.

"Steve Martin" called from same # 2x so far. First time I picked up bc I was waiting for a call from a friend in Calif (on caller ID) . Hung up quickly realizing it wasn't. "Steve Martin" called again a few minutes ago - "unknown name" on the caller ID but same #. Did not answer but message left was exactly as that in previous posts. (must be recorded or read from a script)
Went to the treasury dept website to log in the incident. Just so they know this scam is STILL happening.

You can do what I did, keep calling them back until they start tracking your number and won't talk to you any more.  I did that for about 30 minutes recording the calls. Now, they disconnected the number 831-435-1054.  They have also used 619-467-1949 and 949-891-7381.  Its fun, call them and then just mess with them.  Make recordings, post them on the web.  Call them a thief and criminal.  The more the lines are tied up the less scamming they can do.

2 calls, no message left. If I answered I'd tell the puts to come on over, we'll serve his liver with a nice Chianti.

I called them back using star 67 so they would not know who was calling and Steve Martin said Cindy you are going to be arrested how did he know my name I told him I am not telling him anything and I will wait to be arrested and to have a great frickin day :-)

    This is the second attempt to scam money out of me and my wife.  First, the caller identified himself as an agent of the IRS.  He told my wife that we owed back taxes and had to pay immediately or lose our house and have our assets frozen.  I got on the line and asked for his id number and supervisor and that I was going to contact the IRS and Virginia State Attorney.  Surprise, surprise, he hung up.  
    The second was yesterday afternoon, this guy called again and left a message that said, "we were under indictment and were going to be arrested if we did not contact" this guy and pay our back taxes.  He left this message twice... I really wish we could stop these scammers.  Oh well, I guess the next time he calls, I think I'll tell him that I'm with the Virginia State Attorneys office and ask him if I should arrest myself?  LOL

Same as above. When I called him back and screamed at him, and told him he is on recorded line he hung up. I am going to report him to FBI.

I got this same call...twice.... i called back and asked what years I didnt file taxes...they said ..."oh no you filed taxes just did not pay them."...  I asked them what street the Treasury building was on and they hung up.... the next time they called I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said I was being rude....????

When you report them to fbi be sure to tell them to look all this posts from people....grrr I hope they get what they deserve.

Got the same recording above from "steve martin". Number is 831-435-1054. I plan to report it. No idea who would fall for this scam. They don't even identify who it is they are calling to talk to. Amateur hour, but annoying.

Got the same call from this number and quickly reminded the indian accented man that he was calling me in the suburbs of the biggest federal city in the United States.  2 of my neighbors work for the secret service and one of my best friends works for the justice department.  I asked him for the name of the person he was trying to contact and he said you.  I told him to please have the federal marshalls deliver their supeonas or I was going to turn him in for fraud.  He cussed at me and hanged the phone up.  

We got the exact same message - down to the word, but it wasn't a recording. Ridiculous.

I also got a call from Steve Martin and it was a recorded message because it repeated the message twice.  The message was "Hi this message is intended to contact you (oddly no name given).  My name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding enforcement action executed by the US Treasury intending the receiver's attention (again no name given).  Ignoring this will be an intentional 2nd attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense.  My number is 831-435-1054.  I'd advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you."
