Got a text from this number. Says its my receipt  from smallcakes cupcakery. Never purchased anything from them.

Then it was sent in error. Someone entered the wrong phone number.

My plumber sent my receipt from this number after running my credit card over the phone.  Possible they just sent a receipt to your number in error.

Got a text from the number saying it was a receipt for mbs psychotherapy and of course to click the link to view details.

Not a scam but people like you never want to take the time to look into things and then always assume the worst.

Scam trying to get people to hit link sending fact receipt notifications. Mine came from Siesta Key Bike &Kayak rental and of course, I am nowhere near Florida. Obvious scam because that many people aren't entering the wrong number. Another foreign entity trying to [***] Americans and steal from them

Seriously?  You don't think that more than one person could enter a wrong number?  Tell me, what research did you do to prove that this is a scam?  Did you check that site out to see when it was registered and who it was registered to?  Did you go on the web to find out what that company is?  Did you do anything other to assume that this is a scam?  No, you didn't do anything at all.

Yes, unfortunately people do make mistakes when entering phone numbers and stuff like that gets sent to the wrong phone.
