- JA| 2 repliesThis is yet another ph. # being used by H.W.C. on their yellow postcards, being used for continuing a possible mortgage ins. scam. Look under ph. # 888-405-0963. There are scam warnings all over the internet concerning this outfit, and they have merely changed the phone number and continue to send out the postcards. The cards are yellow or pink and start out by saying in big red letters: "IMPORTANT NOTICE, IMMEDIATE RESPONSE NEEDED." It goes on to say that: "You have recently closed on this mortgage with ------------(bank name)." (I did NOT recently close on my mortgage.) It goes on to say "We need you to please call us about an important matter regarding this loan. This is time sensitive so please call us at 833-700-1941." Then a mortgage # in red letters. (The one I received was a fake number.) There is a disclosure in very fine print at the bottom (difficult for the elderly to see or read,) mentioning that all information was provided by H.W.C. and loan information was not provided by my mortgage bank.
This is a first class presorted permit postcard from Daytona Beach, FL Permit # 447 with USPS.
To whom do we file a complaint concerning this outfit and their tactics? (According to feedback from the 888# above that they used previously, there is some sort of a 'cease and desist' order against them.
btw - Whitepages has no listing for this phone number (833-700-1941)....."no such number" according to them, and area code look-ups do not list area code 833 in Florida, or anywhere else for that matter.- Caller: they did not call...wanted me to call them-H.W.C.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Sara P replies to JAWe got one, too. We did, however, have a loan with the company listed on the postcard that was just purchased, so it would be easy to fall for...if we weren’t so savvy ;)
- Vickie SI got the pink postcard from them today. It does not state who we closed with which was 2 years ago. But states everything else as listed above. Unbelievable the way these people scam innocent victims. The phone # to call on mine is 833-700-1941, H.W.C.

- CindyReceived the same pink postcard today.....I have never closed a mortgage. Between these scams and the IRS scams, there are people out there giving these jerks their money 😕
- Nimrod replies to JASince they sent the card through the USPS, I would suggest turning it over to your local Post Office to be passed to the local Postal Inspector, explaining why you think it may be part of a scam. If there has been a 'cease and desist' order issued against this outfit, these postcards could be used as evidence that they are not obeying it and hopefully get them shutdown.
- DMReceived yellow postcard today.
