Calls to my wifes phone

Got a message saying my yahoo email was reset, and that I needed to to r.yahoo.com to fix it.

I've gotten texts from this number but it giving me a single use eBay pin. I haven't used eBay in a very longe time and this cell number was never affiliated with it.

It said my email can't be used anymore😭

I just got a text from here saying that my daughters email address was now permanently closed.

Got a "verification code" text from "Blizzard Entertainment". I've also received multiple, poorly-written emails from "Blizzard Entertainment". AKA: China.

This number and 776-836 pose as Yahoo, Blizzard, eBay, and a couple others. Those Chinese [***] have a lot coming to them.

They are not spam. If you are getting them without requesting, someone else is using your number or someone is trying to access your account.

I received two messages from 837-401 night before last and TEN last night from the same number- all in the middle of the night (grrrrr) and all saying "your verification code is XXXXXX" - a different number each time. In my quasi-asleep state, I figured someone is trying to hack something...but have no idea WHO or WHAT. Ideas?

I got the same messages from the same number as you did back on April 17th. interesting that in a post above someone mentions blizzard entertainment because my credit card number was stolen and one of the fraudulent charges were from them. 10 days after these messages were received. now I'm wondering if they were hacking info from my phone somehow through these messages.

 There may have been more to this message, but it didn't appear on my basic phone.

I shouldn't have received this, as my phone number has been removed from yahoo. I previously had a problem where hackers were stealing my phone number to gain access to my account and I have since removed it as a recovery device.

If you have a phone number set up as a recovery device on yahoo or any other platform, please remove it immediately as this is a yuge security risk.  All a hacker has to do is tell a sob company to a phone provider and poof and the customer service rep gives in, they have instant access to your email and the ability to enter all your financial accounts and [lock you out].  Instant access by failing the password repeatedly until the account recovery dialog appears, and sends an sms text to your phone number on their phone that gives them instant access.

I was updating accounts to a new email address .. and needed a verification code on a couple of lesser-used accounts - two separate accounts sent the code text via the same  837401 number, one from eBay and one from Credit Karma. What the heck?!
