I have dozens of MM texts from this number each one costing me 1.50 pounds to receive, BEWARE.

hw to get rid of this? i hav lost so many money.. as im receivin messages frm dis no.

I have just lost virtually all my credit with texts from this number.  I stupidly answered a question (I was on the phone so not paying attention!) on the sky.com website asking how many square you can see.
It then takes you to a website where you can get the chance to win apple phone.  Because I was not really paying attention I gave my phone number, got a text and entered the PIN all the space of less than 30 seconds.
What can I say - I am not looking at any of my text messages for a while!!!
Hope this doesn't happen to too many people.

according to my latest phone bill I received 10 text message from this account over the space of 57 seconds. I do not know what these text were for. I spoke to O2 and they have informed me to report it to phonepayplus on 0800500212. They can look into and hopefully get a refund. O2 also told me that what ever the text are for they should only ever be sending a maximum of 4 premium text messages per week anyway.

i've just had my phone bill through at a whopping £77.80! rang o2 to find out what the hell was going on and was informed that shortcode 84212 had been sending me messages.  I had no idea who company is, what they want of how they got my number let alone reply.  This company has taken around £25 of my money with my authorization.  Contact number is a UK one but immediately redirects you to someone in spain!  Was told "only a third party" and to ring another number, same thing again but now in croatia!  Again they told me they only a third party and gave me yet another number, god knows where this time, to ring telling me they would be able to sort out.  Guess what?  Number is no longer in use!  Ring back and get told "no this is definitely the number u need to ring"

So I ring o2 back and final word is "nothing they can do"

Like sooo many of you i have received a hugh mobile phone bill this month, all down to 10 text of which 8 were in the space of 60 seconds. I have queried this with O2 who are looking into it.

The information i have found is as follows:

The charges will show on your mobile phone bill as Erickson IPX - I have spoken to this company on 01483 305 530 who are a Payment Platform Company, they then gave me another number to call For R&D Media Europe 0808 234 3605 a gentleman called Miro Media from a company called Netwise answered who are a consumer care company, he informed me that R&D Media supply ringtones and logo's etc etc to mobile phones and their website is www.glomobi.co.uk, i hasten to add i have never used this website in my life and the only downloads i ever purchase are fromO2 themselves. The texts message ffrom R&D Meia are charged at a whopping £1.50 per text.

I typed in R&D Media into google sarch and this company have offices in Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur.

I am getting fed up with our telephone numbers being sold on to other companies where these companies tend to cosat you a whole load of money.

I will be writing to watchdog and getting them involved it just STINKS

Just seen my bill and same thing. 10 text messages that I never asked for. Phoned orange and even they admit there was no outgoing request message from me before all this started. Orange said they can't help much and told me to call the number you mentioned. I will be going after a refund and a stop to these texts shortly before reporting the company for fraud in as many countries as I possibly can and like you, reporting it to watchdog. I think it is also shocking that there is no protection against this from the operators. They should insist on receiving an outgoing message from the handset before allowing payments to be taken through text messages. Anyone could type my number into a website and sign up for this stuff, so a text from the handset should be a must!!!!!

Your Phone Companies, Ericsson IPX AB and Phonepayplus are sharing the money !....go figure...

by the way the 'fines'  are paid using part of the revenue that's been taken from you guys.

I received 10 unsolicited emails costing me £1.50 each (total £15) at 00:00:00 hrs 06/05/2010 from short code no 84212. to my Orange phone.   Orange attributed them to Ericson (01483 305 530), who blamed R&D Media Europe aka Netsize (0808 234 3605) who blamed Glomobi (0808 234 3605).  Glomobi said I must have sent them an email at the same time with a pin to approve the service.  Back to Orange - who conformed I had sent no such email.  So - after my third call to Orange they offered to try to retreive my money.

I have recently checked my monthly mobile bill. I noted that it was higher than it should have been. The offending items appear to be 10 calls from(or to) 84212 each charged at £1.28. These calls were made in the space of 1 minute!! I have no knowledge of these calls, there is no trace of them on the phone recent calls and Ihave not ordered anything over the internet. On Googling 84212 I came upon this discussion and I hope something can be done to stop these people.I know it is not a huge sum but if continued it would soon mount up

Complain to the ombudsman - phonepayplus.org.uk, your local MP, Government - Dept. of Business etc.

have just been ripped off by £15 because of this number, furious!!!!! Have txtd STOP so better not happen again!!!!

i have also been charged £15 for 10 texts messages from this number who are apparently R&D Media AKA Glomobi.


Here is how you get your money back:-

1) Log onto WWW.icstis.org/default.htm and report this to them, they will then get in touch with the company in question and get them to contact you. When i called them they told me that the company is offering full refunds. When R&D Media contact you they will say you have subscribed to Glomobi which provides Ringtones, Logo's etc etc etc, tell them you have not subscribed and you have reported them to icstis and they have informed you to tell them they need to refund your money straight away.

They will send you £15.00 cash back it takes approximately 3 weeks, i received mine today which is why i am now sharing this information with all of you.
