This number has called me and my dad about an old payday loan that I paid in full before it ever was even considered a problem. How old is this loan? Almost 10 years old and I somehow suddenly have a "debt" that they are taking me to court for. Civil court for a claim that needs papers delivered to my home.

Had a similar experience to Brandon. Will give me no details on a supposed debt I owe and expect payment over the phone. Said the company is called Absolute One.

I just got a voicemail from someone who called me from this number. They didn't say who they were and what company they were from. They stated they have made several attempts to contact me. This is the first time they've called. They said they have a fax ordered delivery schedule for they say my first name and a completely different last name then my last name. They also mention they will try to deliver these documents to my place of employment or my place of residence. Lastly, they mention, if I want them delivered to an alternate location for me to call 844-384-3468.  Clearly they have a wrong number.

Hi Brandon, Just to ease your mind, there is a statue of limitation as to how long a debt can be collect upon. Most states have a four year cap.  If this debt you have is 10 years old, it is illegal for them to call you for payment at this point.

Been receiving calls from this number all day long. So has my family, the caller a Miss Allen, says it is an important matter that papers need delivered. I have NO doubt it is a scam.

I had the same call about a debt from check n go over 12 years ago. They wouldnt give me any information till I paid the money. I refused. The girl replied apparently I think this is a joke so she threatened me with delivering the documents to my work. No debt like this is on my credit report. She knew about an old bank account which i closed in 2015. She knew the last 4 of my social. She said the documents will be delivered tues by law enforcement. I called an attorney he advised me that after 5 years this company cannot contact you and that it is illegal.

I got this exact call yesterday and it was a voicemail. She said her name is Ms Allen.  When she said she had a fax order delivery scheduled for...the automated thing mentions my first name and for my last name it is the name of a place I have worked at over 12 years ago.  I have listened to this voicemail 3 times since yesterday and I find it so comical.  It is some kind of scam.  I am keeping the voicemail though for [***] and giggles.

Today I got a call from another number.  It is 844-384-3582. It was a voicemail too. The man said in the voicemail. This is Mr. Simpson.  This confidential message is intended for (the automated thing said my first name and the name of a place that I worked at 12 years ago) as my last name.  My records indicate you have failed to respond as of now you are in default status. We will be attempting to complete location verification at your place of employment or residence. To schedule an alternate location please call 844-384-3852. Again that number is 844-384-3852 regarding this matter. This is your final notice.  When I called both 844-384-3468 and 844-384-3582, I hid my number so they couldn't tell who was calling them. A man answered and said "Hello Thank you for calling Absolute". I hung up.  Looked up Absolute on the internet. Apparently, they are a debt collection agency.  Their telephone number is different on the web then the two numbers that called me in the last couple of days.  So, I called the number on the web and asked if they heard of my first name and the name of the place that I worked at for 12 years ago as my last name.  After checking their records, they don't have anyone in their system with this name at all. So, telephone number 844-384-3468 and 844-384-3582 or definitely scam artists.  I blocked both numbers.
