Some guy calls and starts telling me he was from Healthcare Marketplace.  This is on a Sunday so I hung up.

It is a scam don't fall for it.

3 times in last 3 weeks left me a message more info needed, after 7:30 P/M. I checked my account on line & all okay. pretty sure it's a scam.

This number is truly for the Healthcare marketplace or better the ACA or even Obamacare. If you are receiving a call from this number then 1 you have applied for a tax credit through the marketplace on healthcare.gov 2 an agent has done so on your behalf. I would encourage you to call the number back and find out why they called before you loose your tax credits and half to pay full price for your insurance. There are actually two numbers the 1-844-477-7500 is a direct line to the dept that makes the calls and then 1-800-318-2596 is to another company that creates the applications when you call in. Save yourselves some time and money and take the call or at least call back.

Tango was right this is a scam call , they also leave a voice mail have you to call back the # is 805-637-7243

Received a call from Amanda at 844-477-7500, who rattled off some long number, stating it was her "agent number" and asked to speak to me by name. She wanted me to verify my address, to which I replied that I was not comfortable doing that on a call that I didn not initiate. I asked if she would verify the number of my street address so that I could verify that SHE was legitimate, and she refused to do so. If she had my application information, she would have that number, so I stated I was not going to continue this phone call, and hung up.

Male robocall voice: “…that helps pay for your health insurance through marketplace. The government issued the emergency order reopening the health insurance marketplace and in most cases your monthly premium will be from $1 to $20 per month. Please press 0 now to be transferred to a licensed agent. If we have reached you in error please press 9 now to be removed.”
