Got that call today, again says they are from windows and that my computer is at risk and my driver is about to crash, load of bull!!!

Sorry also they said they where from a company called Safenoid, a third party company from microsoft.

But they will, I get calls at 2:30 am, 4 am, 5:30 am, ad nauseum. All I hear is someone with a very thick accent saying "hello" over and over. Once I got the Microsoft story about a very bad virus and they needed to access my computer.

I got a call from this number saying they were a Windows company, but the caller ID said McDonald's, and that they were getting reports saying that I had downloaded some malware and the reports were coming into their office. I advised them of my virus software and that it was not notifying me of his claims. He said that it will not scan my computer everyday. I advised him that I will just take my computers to BestBuy and have them service my equipment and he said that they could not fix the computer like his company can and that his company is the one that is responsible for the Windows software. I hung up.

Called at 2:25PM.  We let the call go to our answering service.  No msg left.  By not answering the call most of these scammers go elsewhere.  Suggest you try not answering and let the call go to your answering service.  This might solve the repeat calls to your number.

My grandmother got a call from this number.  A lady was telling her that she had a virus on her computer and wanted her to push different buttons on her computer.  She told my grandmother that she was located in FL which is not true.  The caller ID said McDonalds 845-469-9827 so when she told me about all of this I looked the number up and found that she was located in NY.  I am not sure what kind of scam these people are trying to run, but please do not give them any information.

Another hoax call from this number.  Ignored them when they did not answer immediately.

I just got a call from this number.845-469-9827 Had to ask twice who they were with, couldn't make out the name, awful accent. .Finally got they were from Microsoft Windows and it was showing I was having problems with my computer. which caller ID says McDonalds,he  hung up.  

Hang-ups are I am told, because they have a computer dialing more #'s than operators working. Every time you answer or pick up in response to phone ring the computer saves your number and will dial it more often. After all odds are good for a contact.
The way to stop them...and I like to think mess up their computer's brain, is to press the # key a few times, immediately as you pick up the phone. It won't mess up real or OK calls, they just wonder what the tone means.
Back to the hang-up calls. The computer I am told only deals with numerical keys. The pound (#) key being non-numerical freaks the computer's brain, it does not know where to put your number so throws it out...not long and the calls stop.

They called today and my son answered.  They told him to go onto the computer immediately because we have a virus that is going to blow up our computer.  My son hung on them.  The caller id said McDonalds.  

keep getting these call to my mobile phone, from America no called id.

I got a call from this number today. I live in the UK and thought it was odd getting a call from Chester, New York as I know no-one in the USA lol I ignored it and have the number block from my cell phone.

They called me, but I did'nt answer as I have no connection to people in USA.

Received call from 845-469-9827. Message stated was IRS calling about filing a lien! Was to return call to 02-864-1309, this number repeated to confirm. Did NOT return calls! Why? IRS doesn't have my cell phone numbers and if they did, wouldn't use it to make initial contact. Always by mail...

I received a call from 845-469-9827 at 7:35 am, showed up as Mcdonalds, unfortunately I answered the phone, usually don't answer calls I don't know.  There was a recording saying it was the irs and threatening some type of legal action.  I really hope they call back and leave this message.  I will contact the real IRS.  

Call today 1/9/2015 from 18454699827 McDonalds shows up on caller id.  Answered call out of curiosity, caller identified himself as someone calling from the us government and told me I had been awarded a $ 7000.00 grant even though I hadn't applied for one.  Was asked a couple of harmless questions and given a grant ID #.  Instructed to call 202 738 4151 and give the agent that answers the grant # to receive the grant.
Needless to say I didn't call the number I was suspicious from the start.

Looks like these guys don't give up.
