I Received a letter from an auditor Kim Sang who works with Hana Bank Hong Kong.
Letter says that during the audit last year, department discovered some investment accounts that have been dormant for at least 15 years belonging to deceased with account balance US$10,500,000. Investor died and no next kin has been found.
Then letter says that I will be handsomely rewarded for my part in this transaction as this auditor prepared to allocate 30% of total funds for my efforts and 10% mapped out for charity work.
Then the letter says I should keep this transaction confidential and be free to contact Kim with the details provided (email and phone number +85281912421)

It is definitely a scam letter!

Hmmm. I got the same latter in Dec. Any idea how such a scam should work? I can't see the logic as no money has been asked for and the chap already has basic id information.

got the same letter dated 17/12/12 from wain jo yen tel +852 8170 0742 this is an up front fee scam do not reply if it was from hana bank it would be on bank headed paper posted from hong kong and be from their legal department not an anonymous auditor doing things in a sly and underhand manner.

The scam - an airway bill is sent by "diplomatic" package - even says size but it is too small a volume to be the stated weight of 95kg. It must be uranium. Next is an instruction to meet the "diplomat" and pay him 40% of his costs - nealry £5000. Then go to a bank, open an account and deposit whatever is in the package. Now you know how the scam works.
Checking the airway bill it was not recognised by the carrier - checking if it is common to send"diplomatic" packages carrier says if yes then it government only and at no charge.

    To Colin,Dav999 and gav  (

I received same letter from someone Mr Lee Sang on Tel No 852 8170 0742 saying the unclaimed inheritance of an investor in the amount of US $ !0,500,000, As I have same family as the deceased he as auditor
claims he can secure the amount. He has sent copy of death certificate as well as an affidavit by an
auditor in high court of Oath in Honk Kong where I have been sworn  the legal inheritor. Unfortunately I gave him my Driving License copy as he had sent me his passport copy and Bank Employee ID. So far no asking for any advance payment so I am letting the scam go a bit further to see how it develops. Keep posting if you have any further developments

I've had the same very convincing even opened bank account ans I've seen the funds of 9.5million dollars in the Acc when you try to transfer you can't they ask for a transfer access code which they want £6,300. Before they release the money DON'T PAY THEM I didn't.
If its too good to be true it probably is. Again it was mr Lee Won Sang who rang me.

I'm glad I checked it out with you guys first before I took it any further. Pity though...was looking forward to spending the money haha!!
