I received a Fraud Alert call from this number. I called back on the number on my card, and the Alert Call is valid, although I would call back at the number provided on the credit card, jsut to be safe.

Bank of America Fruad Dept. Spoke with them about charges on my card that i did not make and opened claim. Verified claims online while on the line with them.

Not a valid number. I have never banked with Bank of America and just got a fraudulent call for them. How on earth would they know my phone number, even if someone was trying to open a fake account. It's bogus. Don't fall for it. Call the number listed on the back of your card or googling BofA customer service number.

This is a scam.  I called them back, because I don't have a credit card, just a debit card.  Foolishly, I gave her the last 4 of my SS number, and said she could find the credit card that way.  She sounded legit enough, said she did not see anything wrong on my account and acted very surprised.  As it turns out, there was a fraud charge, but this this is not a real Bank of America fraud center.
My son has a credit card with BofA and has me as an authorized buyer on that card.  The scammer called him and got no answer, and then 3 minutes later called me.
My son had received a notification from the real BofA that they had found a suspicious charge to his card and had therefore blocked his card, and he needed to contact their support number, which they gave him.  Someone had purchased an airline ticket using his card, and BofA saw that as suspicious because it's not one of his usual types of purchases.
My guess is that the people who are giving this phone number positive feedback are probably working in conjunction with the scammers to fool people by giving glowing reviews.
BE AWARE:  BofA will never ask you for your SS number.  They only ask for your phone number.

The same happened to me today. He was asking for sensitive information, and I ended up hanging the call.
