Claimed to be calling from Credit Bureau of Canada Collections (or CollectCents), a collections agency in Mississauga. Phone number doesn't match the CBCC/CC website. Assumed to be a phishing scam.

Repeatedly calls my son’s phone. Can’t block it. Leaves messages in voicemail saying it is the Credit Bureau of Canada Collections looking to reach XXXXX XXXXXXXXX (person unknown to us) and to contact them and use case file ###########.

Phoned at 10:20 PM...

I have been getting calls from the number asking for someone who is not me. It has been happening for years, and is beyond frustrating and stressful. It stops for awhile, then starts up again. Blocking the number makes no difference at all

Got a call from this number today. I didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a voice message either. So I suspect that they're just "fishing" for potential victims and if they had left a message I would then have a recording of their voice. So don't answer the call if you don't recognize the number.

I have been experiencing the same problem.  Is there an agency too which we can report these crank phishing calls??

I too have been experiencing these incredibly annoying calls. I have blocked the number, but it still goes through to voicemail. There ought to be a way to stop this type of intimidation and harassment. I can't figure out why, after you have blocked the number, it still is allowed to go through to voicemail!?

If you are simply doing it on your phone then commonsense would tell you that it becomes an unanswered phone call and automatically goes to voicemail. This appears to be a debt collector looking to collect unpaid bills.

Spam call, Once you block them some phones will allow this to go to voicemail anyways. Message saying the are a Collections agancy and this is an impotant bussines matter. They will give you a reference number. I decided to call back and you will get background music for a bit then instructions. However it's clearly a spam beacause non of the options are in French just in English. Here in Canada it's always in both languages. I owe no one nothing and have a credit score over 800 and just financed a truck. Anther time I answered and told then to [***] and hung up!

They are saying they are the Credit Bureau of Canada.  I have a feeling it has something to do with the financing as well.  I just bought a truck too.
