I too got a call & they hungup when I answer.

I'm not look for any cars. I don't know how to drive yet I'm still recieving these stupid calls.

I got the same thing.  Just called them and talked with someone.  They got my number when I put in a service request online.  They said it's to follow up with me to basically try and figure out my needs and sell me a new car.  They told me they'd get me in touch with my local dealership.  I told them I did that already and my issue is being handled.  I hope that ends the calls.

This number called my cell and left no voice mail. Then two hours later, called my office phone! When I answered it hung up. Someone mentioned above that they were shopping around for a car when this happened to them. I too have been shopping around for cars this week.

NY/NJ area, truecar.com caused this problem!

Submitted car quote through USAA car buying services for a Jeep vehicle purchase in GA.  Phone rang 2 hours later, didn't answer.  No repeat calls...yet.

Of all the things that they could be doing right. they choose this?

I have received calls from this # all week since I started looking at vehicles to purchase as well.

Definitely related to online car inquiry.  I requested follow-up from Clinton Family Ford in Rock Hill SC and immediately started getting multiple calls a day from this number on my work cell phone.  Extremely annoying.

Like everyone else soon after doing an online quote for a vehicle the calls started a couple times a day. I haven't answered it because I only answer calls I recognize or I let them leave a message and this number clearly never does. Bad business practice and a good way to have people NEVER use the website(s) again. Thanks to everyone else for your posts they really helped clear things up for me.

Name unavailable, first time today.  Have read the comments posted so can only believe that our call was generated from being in a dealership shop being repaired from an accident.  We also have a rental car due from that accident so suppose that could be related.  We just do not answer the calls and no voice messages left.  After weeks of harassing, robo calls, had just mentioned to my wife that the calls had calmed down.  We are just going on every site and posting numbers and comments and blocking as much as we can.  Wish all these people could be caught and given very hefty fines.

All they are trying to do is help. Some people get calls just to make sure their experience went well at the dealership others similar to you all above, receive calls in regard to an internet request or phone call to the dealership to simply make sure that you are being helped in your search for a vehicle the best to the dealerships ability. All you have to do is answer your phone and speak with one of the customer service representative (that's right it IS NOT a salesman). If you will simply spend 3-5 minutes to answer a few easy questions the calls will cease. Not to hard:) I have dealt with this number on many occasions and never once spoke with anyone rude all the reps are kind and willing to help the best way they can. BTW no personal information is requested they just ask about your sales rep or what kind of vehicle you want.

Getting calls from 855-275-7180 a few days after putting in an online credit app. at Honda. I completed my transaction with the dealership, but still getting calls.

I can only assume the same. Attempted to build a vehicle on line with no attempt to purchase. Just looking. Unable to get true figures from the site. Do not want to lease and do not want to speak with ???salesperson at this time. This number never leaves a message.

I was on Ford's web site yesterday and submitted a requrest to a local dealership. I answered and could barlely make out the name of the dealership but could not understand the person. I just said thank you and hung up.  It's frustrating as HECK that they do this.

I, too, requested a quote on a vehicle online through a non-dealer-affiliated site, but I guess depending on the make of vehicle you show interest in, the requests are routed to specific representatives. Honestly, I have no intention of trading in a car I JUST paid for -- I was only "window shopping" -- however, it's impossible to get any information without imputing some information. Next time, I'll use a fake profile. Sheesh, how desperate are car salesmen?
