Its all clear id for Anthem. Someone hacked their computer and stole personal information. I was hit with this. Someone filed a joint tax return using my name address and social security number. I received the letter from IRS and when I finally got a hold of IRS they confirmed a joint tax return was filed.  I had to file a police report and a 14039 Fraud Identity theft report with IRS.The call back for them is 877 615 3736. Don't ignore.

Yeah, but the thing is, I opened the new credit card three weeks ago, and have already charged several thousand $$ on it.  CreditKarma found this out immeidately upon it being opened and contacted me the same day.  Useless to contact me weeks later...

I was part of the theft  of information from Anthem and they gave us two years of free All Clear ID for free. If something is going on with my credit they let me know.

My "account" with AllClear is connected with the Anthem security breach.  There  are calls and e-mails.  Since I couldn't remember the connection to me at first, I checked through my files and found that my initial sign up with AllClear showed a different phone #.  I then signed on and found that there was no security alert.

When the call came in from (855) 434-8077 I was talking on the phone...switched over to receive the call.  When I switched back to my original phone call it showed a number (317-449-1111) that I did not know nor had ever called, but the person I was speaking to was still there.  I hung up immediately and recalled that person with the phone # that I originally dialed

This is a LEGITIMATE credit watchdog company, and they do an excellent job!!  This is NOT one of the "bad guys!"
With the recent breach of e-security at Anthem, I was given this service for free for a year...
I have since opened a charge account, traded a car, and refinanced my home... and all three times I received an IMMEDIATE message from AllClear telling me that there was credit activity happening in my name and asking me if I recognized the activity.    I am very confident that if anything fraudulent happens, I will be alerted in time to protect my credit and my identity.
This is one "robo-dialer" that I am HAPPY about!

All Clear ID is not a scam. Valid COmpany. Can also be associated with Life Lok and Credit Karma. You have to give them your phone numbers for text mobile alerts.

I know this post is quite old but for anyone like me who was trying to find out who was calling when they saw this number on their Caller ID, I thought it best to provide some detail.
All Clear ID is not a telemarketer, they are an identity theft protection service that you opt into. If you were effected by Blue Cross Blue Shield's recent security breach, they are the company that was contracted to provide free identity protection after it. If something questionable comes up they call each phone number you've registered in order to try to reach you. Typically they then also send you an e-mail to follow-up as well. If you got a call on your house phone followed by one on your cell, that is their typical flow of attempting to make contact when they've found something.

ALL CLEAR called me today to tell me FIngerhut ran a credit report today. Fingerhut just happened to have called me about an hour before all clear and I went on chat and asked them to take my number off their records. They refused to do so without my personal info. I refused. When All clear called we spoke to Fingerhut together, and VIOLA! Someone had all the info, including Social and tried to open an account. So Fingerhut was trying to verify this. All Clear is working to get it off my report. In the meantime, someone has my SS info. ALL accounts are frozen.but they were still able to get a report! SCARY [***]!

All Clear ID - I had changes to my credit due to a new gas card and they did what they promised by informing me of it. I was given their service for free after a security breach that could have exposed my personal info. This call was legitimate.

    Whatever
It's legit. I just signed up because dhs bungled their cybersecurity and my records were compromised. However, part of the sign up is receiving a call from them from a link, but my call blocker wouldn't let it through because it's been reported as spam. Your selection below doesn't allow a choice of 'legit', so I'll call it 'unknown'.

Scam Alert -- Fake Fraud Department is After Your Credit Card Code

Scammers Pose as Credit Card Fraud Department

A fraudulent fraud department? It may sound too wacky to be true, but scammers are now pretending to be from credit card companies' fraud departments. It's a trick to get you to reveal your card's security code.

    How the Scam Works:

You answer the phone, and the caller says he/she is from your credit card's security department. This "fraud specialist" tells you that there's suspicious activity on your card. He makes up a bogus transaction and asks if you authorized it. When you reply that you never made the purchase, the "fraud specialist" offers to open an investigation into charge. The scammer may even give you a fake case number for reference.

Everything seems normal until the scammer asks one last question. Under the guise of verifying that the credit card is in your procession, he requests the security code on the back of your card. Don't give it to him; it's a scam!

In this particular con, identity thieves already have your information. They know your name, credit card number, phone number and address. Now, all they need is the security code on the back of your card. If you share it, you give the con artist the information he needs to wrack up charges in your name.

What To Do if a Fraudulent Fraud Department Calls:
•Don't give the caller any information about your account - even if he already knows some of the details.
•Pick up the phone. Call the customer service number on the back of your credit card. Talk to the fraud or security department and ask about the unauthorized charges the caller told you about.
•Phone numbers can deceive. Some con artists use Internet technology to disguise their area code in Caller ID systems. Although it may look like they're calling from your credit card company, they could be calling from anywhere in the world.

It's AllClear ID. With the Anthem Healthcare breach all employees received 2 years credit watch. I've been getting "all clear" e-mails for almost a year every month. I missed a call I received today from an unknown number. I googled it, checked here first to find out who it was. I called & heard This is AllClear, asked me to enter my phone number I used to set up service & pin. A live person proceeded to advise a bank accessed my cred file & gave me their name. I said I gave permission. That was it. No personal info was asked or given.

This is a legit call from AllClear ID.  I got an email and a phone call at the same time, alerting me to a change on my credit report.  This comes the day after I spoke with a loan officer about refinancing, so it was very timely.
