Your post is not true in many cases. With 4 dollar scripts filled for 30 days at a time at Wal-Mart there is no way CVS can beat that. They have for sometime, been loosing money to the big dollar chains like Wal-Mart, and are pushing to get customers. So it is a type of "phishing" without utilizing email.

Its CVS Caremark's prescription provider. They call me everyday all day. I finally call the number back and they want me to verify all this crap. My name, my zip code and date of birth, then want me to tell them what prescription I take to finish verifying my account. I tell the person I'm at work and I'm not going to announce to the world my AIDS medication (no I don't take Aids medication but you get what I mean). I tell her I"m not announcing out loud in an open office what med I'm on so she aks if I want to call her back when I'm in a private location. NO HOW ABOUT DON'T CALL ME. So I tell her I'm not interested in switching to CVS pharmacy and she says she is a prescription provider Silverscript I believe and they help lower part B medicare costs. And I'm like I don't have medicare soooo just take me off your list. she said OK with an attitude. Who the F do they think they are that they can use a prescription you take as verifier to talk to you and on top of that I dont' even have medicare!!

I didn't pick up the phone, but others have described calls from this number as being sales calls for CVS Caremark. We are on CVS Caremark's prescription plan, so two points can be made: (1) Because we have business with them, this call is not illegal for them to make. (2) This could have been an automated call to tell us that our prescriptions are ready.

This IS a scam- real CVS Caremark has no knowledge of this number.  Looking for any info you are foolish enough to give out.  Calling 5-6X a day(just called again while typing).

We have an old school answering machine which throws off new telemarketers, so we end up with some doozies (either they think a real person answered or that they're not being recorded).

This message consisted of "Your... your hands will know how to do it without thinking." 😆

I have been receiving calls from this number and when I call back I'm told that it is for student loan forgiveness. I then received an email with a name and phone number to call with more information.

They have made at several attempts in one day at calling. Finally when I answer she tells me how they are calling on behalf of my insurance company and that they were wanting to run a check to  make sure I was maximizing all of my prescription drug benefits.Drug benefits? She tried to convince me that in medication I can get a maximum of 90 day supply at a lower cost and that she was going to be the person to help me facilitate this.  I then explained to her that the RX  I take is given to me in a 90 day supply. She continued to probe and ask if my pharmacy allowed me to pick it all up at one time. When I explained yes because that is the way the RX is written for and that I already get it at such a minimal cost I do not understand the point of this phone call. As she continued she asked to confirm my date of birth and then I asked her for her contact information so that I can call her back when it is more convenient for me, after I talk with my insurance company to confirm she was legit.
It is a mail order pharmacy scam
