I can tell you that I know it's National Recovery Associates and not the NRA.  I have telecom systems that verify it.  I work for one of the big providers (BIGGEST). yeah you'll all hate me for that too but get over it. If I don't recognize it, I don't pick it up.  Also you should know that even if you have an UNLISTED number or you think it's BLOCKED on your end, you are wrong.  A TF# is a number where the receiver pays for incomming calls and is ENTITLED to your number. This doesn't apply to standard POTS lines you may call.  If you are really curious, call from your work# where they use DNIS numbers.  All they will see that way is your main trunck number and not your extension.  Peace.

So far, they haven't called back :)

I receive calls daily from this NRA group (National Recovery Agency). They have called using at least 10 different phone numbers.  When they call my number they are looking for my ex-daughter in-law who skipped out on a credit card balance.  Who I haven't seen or spoken to in 10 years.  But telling them that I have had no contact with her in 10 years doesn't matter to them.  They continue to call.  And they ARE NOT the National Rifle Association.  Here is one of their addresses: 2491 Paxton Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111.  Put that address in Google Maps and look at it with Google Street-View.  You can actually see the building they work out of.  It has NRA on the front of the building.  They are bottom feeders that buy bad debit from banks.  They buy it for pennies on the dollar so anything they can get from you is profit to them.

Calls almost daily for weeks now, so I called back, & got a recording confirming it was the National Rifle Assn.
Like so many other calls, I get, they never leave a message, & I don't usually c/b. But since it was toll-free, I did this time.

I get this call twice a day...rings only 3 times and if I answer it is blank??

It is DEFINITELY the NRA.  NOT the National Gun Association, but the NATIONAL RECOVERY ASSOCIATION (a Bill Collector).  They just will not give up even after 8 years.

These Cow F*ckers call me all the time using a large bank of phone #s. I've blocked at least 10 #s and they just use a different one. Its the National Recovery Agency all right. They are looking for my step daughters ex husband. He has never lived here and she divorced him 14 years ago. If they want to find someone why don't they try the DMV ?

for those of you who have an android cell phone and have reached your blocking limit or are tired of getting nra calls there is an app called mrnumber with which you can block all calls which start off with 855

Keeps calling multiple times a day, leaves no message.

See the answer from "555" below,  it's true.   A lawyer friend of mine confirmed it,  and I AM an NRA member,  so I contacted them about these calls and it is NOT them - they confirmed their number has been hijacked for return calls.

today is sunday 12'/27/2015 and at 4429m these slim balls call . they are not the national rife ass, they are a scamming bunch who are using 16 different toll free #'s. the i.d."s states toll free calle

since I never answer unidentified calls I do not have  more information other than they call almost daily.  Today is Sunday and they are still calling.  I've been getting calls for the past couple of weeks from this number

When I called back the number, no identification was given as to who it was, just prompts to press "1" if I was 50 or older, or # if I was not. Then the robo said it seemed I did not fit their criteria and there was a disconnect.

I continue to get hangup calls several times a week from 855 numbers. I called this number back today. It is from the NRA. Said they were sorry they missed me. Wanted to give me updates. I am not a member of the NRA and am not sure how the obtained my unlisted phone number that is also on the Do Not Call list.

Did you actually try reading any of the posts on here before writing. NRA = National Recovery Agency, a debt collector of dubious tactics. It is not the National Rifle Association.

I block all of them but it doesn't do any good because when I google each number, the comments are all the same "the caller is NRA - not the National Rifle Assoc. but the National Recovery Associates.  They have called using at least 10 different phone numbers.

True information. This National Recovery Agency has nothing to do with the NRA - National Rifle Association, which I am a lifetime member.  The scammers also call on 855-547-6382, 888-224-6462 and 855-856-4583.

5 days in a row, now blocked call, now on my cell phone.  Why are we on the do not call lists for State an Federal FCC?????
