- This is absurdI just got a missed call from these scum and I knew immediately they're not legit. Here's another number I know I'll be ignoring!
PS- I live in Eastern PA - Gus T.Academy Services. Harrassment. Call every day for party not residing here.
Call from 856-668-4130. They have ben advised many timesto remove my number from their list.- Caller: Academy Service
- AniTotally ridiculous. Called my cell phone at 530am. They refused to tell me who they were looking for (the phone is in my husband's name), then refused to tell me what company she represented until I verified my name and address with her. I ended up hanging up on her. The whole call was incredibly frustrating.
- In Debt w/ PrimierThese people are extremely unprofessional. They need to get a life. I used the credit card for $55. after paying it they told me I owed $236 for interest so I canceled the card and now they want $436,, They are As...holes...
- Caller: who knows
- WTFOn 1/29/09, this number called my phone 79 times!! They never leave a message and I have their number blocked so my phone doesn't ring - but they still are calling my number that many times. I have written a letter to the Federal Trade Commission reporting this number and these people and NOTHING has happened yet.
- Fairfax County, VACallr ID said Academy Services. Voicemail left by "David Green/e" who says he's asking for "Charles" (no one here by that name). Also says he has Charles' file in front of him and just needs to ask a few questions. Even left a number: 800-220-0605 x4453.
- GeorgiaThey call my cell phone ALL day!!! NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE!! UGH!!!! Who are they and what do they want? How do they get a private cell number to begin with?
- PeggyMy phone rings almost 9 pm. I let the machine take it.. no one on the line for a few minutes then a message to call Charles Sweeney.. I know no one by that name and never dealt with a first premier company. How can I block them?
- Caller: Academy Services
- ScottyYep, I too get calls from this debt collection service, and I don't have any owed or pass-due credit cards because I don't have any credit cards! I only got to speek with one person when answering and explained this, they would not tell me who they are looking for and wouldnt' even tell me who they were until i gave them my name. When i gave them my name and it wasn't the name they were expecting they said sorry and hung up. I keep getting these damn calls though and calling them back at the number the robot voice leaves just gets me a stupid answering robot voice! This is assinine.
I went to the donotcall site and files an email complaint. I hope it makes a difference but i doubt it.- Caller: Academy Services
- ANNOYEDThey call approximately 5x a month asking for a Sarah Johnson. When I call them back to tell them they have the wrong number they play dumb. Another time I asked to speak to the person and extension that they left on my voice mail and they stated that person no longer worked there..I immediately called back and was transfered to that person who played dumb. Does anyone know how to get them to stop calling my cellular phone asking for someone else???????
- TheresaAll that shows on my called ID is Academy Services and the number. when they do try to leave a message it's just a voice mumbling for a couple of secons.
- KathyIt's not a scam it's a real collection agency, I finally answered the phone it found out. They were asking for my cousin that used to live with me. After some prying I found out the company name. They are not allowed by law to tell you that it's collections agency unless they get the person they are looking for(That's what they told me). unless you demand the full name like I did. I googled it afterward to make sure.
They told me that the only way they know if it is a wrong number is if they get some one online to tell them. So call them back if it's a wrong number. - xyzThese people proably bought and old debt for 10 cents on the dollar from your orignal creditor so if thats the case you dont owe them a dam thing ..these are [***] who dont know how to get a real Job ...lol you dont borrow fom Jim and some prick from, ten buck two collect it and put it in there pocket most of the debt they try to collect is two old ...so dont agree to anything on the phone are they can reopen a debt thats 7 years old so f*u*c*k them,
- Too old to matter anymoreThese creeps starting calling yesterday. 8;03am. There's a short delay in someone speaking which is your first clue this is a telemarketer or collections person to get the tape recorder going. They're calling about a debt from 1992. This debt is 17 years old and it wasn't even mine. I let someone charge something on the card. I closed the card and this person never paid the balance as promised. 17 years later these bottom feeders that paid pennies on the dollar owed are trying to collect the full amount plus interest. I don't think so. Have they ever heard of "Statute of Limitations?" When they call............hang up. If they call back the same day its harassment. Then you can turn them in to the FCC. Let them step in their own horse dung. They always do.
- Caller: Academy Services Collections
- IvanThese people are calling again, I never had any businesses with them and when I answered they told me "this is a credit agency we will try to collect...and then ask for " mike Mckenzie". I said "I don't know Mike and you need a GPS locator because you're calling to Puerto Rico. If you received send them to hell!!!
- Caller: Academy Services
- HosannaWe got a call from 856-668-4130; caller ID reported caller as Academy Services. They were calling for someone who lived at this address about three years ago. They look up his last known address and call the number listed, which happens to be us. Since we have been here, we have received dozens of calls from a variety of agencies looking for him.
- ACalled our business fax line.
- Casey DavisThey call up to 20 times a day. From 7am to 11pm.
I have had enough. - infomaniac1) Collectors or otherwise are only allowed to call during these hours - Mon thru Sat 8am-9pm Sunday 9am-9pm.
2) Collection companies have every right to ask you for the monies owed. You can tell them that your records do not match, or that you do not owe "their" company a dime. It doesn't make the problem go away though.
It's better to call the originating companies that you owe debt to, and work out a repayment program.
I will say that once upon a time, when AMEX decided it wanted payment in full on a $25K business account, it was sent to collections. The woman was rude and didn't realize that we knew collection laws and our rights. Long story short, she way overstepped her bounds on a few fronts, she was fired and charged with mail fraud and AMEX settled with us without penalty (paid in full without judgment or settlement status on our credit rating) for a little over $4K. Those things don't happen very often though.
Look at your credit report, see what you owe to whom and get on the phone negotiating. Tell these other folks that you seriously have no prior business contact with them and will report them to the FCC. - sid farcasYeah, first premier, i owe em money, they call i never answere, food, light, rent, car-- nothing left for them-- f-off
