I did sign up with AIG life insurance but I did it through a reputable agent that works with my government job and several others from work recommended her. After I signed I up I started getting calls from this number. At first I wouldn't answer and they never left messages. Finally I answered to see who it was and she told me she needed to talk with my father in law and me together about his health. I called my agent and she said that AIG, which is American General, is not affiliated with them. I think they got my number when I was researching online quotes. I looked up the number and it's associated with Matrix Direct Ins. in California.

If you have done business with them recently, Do Not Call doesn't protect you.

I  am afraid  that  they  will  call  me  again .

AIG is not a reputable company, just large because Obama handed the millions in dollars for bonuses. They give your name out to Matrix and other 3rd party insurances when AIG turns you down.

I don't answer calls I don't recognize

I do not recall requesting information about AIG Insurance, but I am quite certain that I would NEVER consent to being called by a salesperson.
