This guy tried to get me as well.  The car was on Craigslist, and he said just what was stated above, except his name was Kevin Connelly, USAF MSrgt.  He even used an address in London that appears to be legit military housing.

I forwarded the email to the scam dept. at ebay Motors.

I also got the same fake invoice from e-bay. This is the 6th fraud that i have discovered on Craig's List... The first one was a woman named Alice Dagner, she also sent me a fake e-bay invoice as did the other 5 with different names and locations. So it is quite apparent that this is a criminal enterprise... Who knows how many people are involved, but i sent the e-mails to e-bay, and they confirmed that all 6 are fraudulent e-mails, e-bay does not accept money transfers!!!!And somebody said they contacted the F.B.I and they don't have the man power to do anything about it??????These ripoffs must be STOPPED!!!! I just reported Monica.Graves2000@gmail.com to IC3 and the local police after opening complaints with Gmail, autotrader.ca, and alerting eBay to her? intended methodology.

I just went through the VERY same exercise!  divorsed, supportedly in Spain, would ship $5100 2006 Acura TL from St. John's to Calgary at her cost, would not reveal VIN as requested ????   It's a $20k car, and costs $2500 to ship from St.  John's to Calgary.

I reviewed the email transmission details to find gmail server used was in Atlanta not Spain.

Fortunately I found this thread.  I've turned in the original autotrader posting, police have the details of the paying party, IC3 obtained the IP address behind Monica.Graves2000@gmail.com transmissions is working with a US Internet service provider to reveal the name behind the use of the IP address at the time of the transmissions.

Contacted seller in regards to the vehicle. Aware that this is most likely a scam... She replied with her sob story as you all know. I decided to google her name and found this thread. She is still using the email address, monica.graves2000@gmail.com. I would love to call her out, but that may initiate her to use another identity...

haha i am in canada and i inquired about a car on Kijiji and got the same name... email came from Monica Graves. It was for a VW Jetta.
