called I answered nothing there then hung up

Didn't recognize number, didn't answer.

They left v.m. saying if I answered trivia question correctly, I'd win a cruise.

Blocked call!

Not at home when call was received.  No message.  Have been a Verizon customer my whole life.  Don't believe it's Verizon doing it.  Also rec'd one from CA Boss Hoss in Torrance, no message, blocked those jerks.

Verizon your getting bad rap from scam artist. You should fix and take number down!!!!!

Just got one from this number.  Caller ID said "Cell Phone CA".  They didn't leave a message, which is par for the course with spam callers. I don't have service with Verizon and even if I did I doubt their legitimate call center would be using an anonymous cell phone, so I'm pretty confident that this is a scam of some sort.

Three calls from this number in the past week.  Each time they left a message on my machine that started before the outgoing message ended.  They repeated it at least twice since the recorded message had the end of their message followed by the full message again, and their full message did not run as long as my outgoing message as the perky female voice was reading at a mile a minute pace.

Message left was:
"This is an important announcement, please do not hang up.  The US Department of Education has announced that consumers may now qualify to have their student loans forgiven.  Please press 1 now to answer two simple questions to see if you qualify, or press 9 to be removed from future notices."

Received the exact same message from 213-503-8127 & 213-257-5233 several weeks ago.

Called today at 1:23 Promotional call about some vacation.  SPAM!

Recorded message congratulating me because I "won a cruise". I am on every do not call list there is and still I get 1 or 2 calls a day. Too bad it's impossible to enforce the Do Not Call lists.

I picked up and it is a robo call.  They did not identify themselves and started off by asking "Can you hear me OK?"  Then, even though I said nothing, they said "Great!" and started in on this "great offer" ....hung up before they could go any further.

Called on my cell, said I won an all expense paid trip...blah blah blah.  I hung up on them.  This seems like a scam to me.
