We've received several calls from this phone number & they finally left a message from someone calling himself 'Ronald' & requesting a callback at ext. 6328. That extension should be your first red flag - USAA extensions almost always have 5 digits. My husband called the correct USAA phone number & they confirmed that this is a scam call.

Robin... What planet are you from?  Ever hear of outsourcing?  Get your head out of the sand.

Called USAA and they check every part of my account and they said they have no reason to contact me, because my accounts were in good standing. When you call this number back the individual ask for your social. I tired giving him my member number but he said he could not look up my account under that number because his department only used social.

Imformation takes a while to be shared..  Ever deposit money in your bank and then try to spend it right away?  Ever send a text message or email to someone far away?  Do they get it instantly?  Ever taken into account time zones ?, etc, etc....  Your point is again????  I forgot

No one in our family has an account with USAA yet we get calls from this number. Perhaps some companies do "outsource" their fraud alert calls, but my bank does not. And when they call they always leave a message and identify themselves. Personally any company that won't leave a message for me gets blocked.

We've been getting messages left from "Ronald" and my wife has called USAA numerous times. They told us they have no reason to contact us since our stuff is all current.

I keep getting calls from this number, they finally left an automated message that said they were USAA Bank and for "Lauren Johnson" to call in accordance to some separate account. Sounds like collection attempt.

Problem is, my name isn't Lauren Johnson, no one by the name of Lauren Johnson has ever lived with me, and I don't know any Lauren Johnson anywhere! I will call them and tell them to take me off their list because of the info I am posting here. My married last name starts with a Q and has 5 letters. My maiden last name starts with a D and has two L's in it and is 8 letters. My first name starts with a M. Nowhere close to Lauren Johnson!!!!!


I was lucky that an automated machine voice leaving a message after about calling me 20 times this week with no message.

Also tried to call USAA Bank myself at 1-800-531-8722 in regards to this number, I was patched through to a "banker" or "representative" that never said anything. It was just answered and I hear breathing and some background office noise with people talking all muffled (but not into the phone).

just got off the phone with the real USAA. This is not one of their numbers, nor one of their collections numbers. It is a phishing scam.  USAA is registering it as a fraudulent number.  Do not give any information to them.

It is NOT USAA Collections, I have USAA and am not behind in any of my bills, I called USAA and they verified it was NOT one of their numbers.

This thread would be an example of a debt collection agency disguised as the client. In this case USAA! USAA does not outsource.

Fuzz, ever hear of charge offs or selling of debt? How about mortgage servicing, Ocwen? How about call centers used and their associations and affiliations? Then you have, reminder calls and calling of relatives, friends, and others! USAA may call them service providers, associates, or affiliates also while not disclosing their identity.

Stop calling.

She wouldn't admit to being a debt collector and I thought they were Ocwen calling as the client but it could also be the debt collection section or reminder call section of USAA also preying on known family connections. When it comes to punks, cowards, and corrupt business tactics that's all part of debt collection. Finally said her name was Derekeis H., 8662283614 ext 6153, Phoenix AZ.
