Received a call from this number stating it was Aurora Healthcare. They asked for personal information to verify my identity. I did not give them the info, instead I asked for a number to call him back. He gave me the same number, but when I call it, it will not go through

Had a message on my land line,  Aurora doesn't have that number. I called back, it was an automated system saying it was Aurora financial. I keyed in my account number as directed, Victor asked me my name and I gave it to him but didn't spell it so I'm sure if it's a scam he won't spell it correctly. He asked for my address and birth date and I asked what the call was about, as I do not have an outstanding bill with them. He said that he could not tell me without verification of my address and birth date so I told him I wasn't giving out that additional information. I could hear laughing in the background which I know can happen at a business but it was unusually loud laughter. I hung up.

Dang. I got a call from these folks this morning, identifying themselves as Aurora, and gave them my DOB before it clicked that I really didn't have any way of knowing who they were! When they asked for an address I asked for assurance of who they were. They gave me this phone number and a reference ID. Glad I came here to check. Will NOT be calling them back of course.

Got a call from them saying it was Arora.  Wanted peronal information to verify before they would tell me why they were calling.  Gave me this number as the "department" number. Then want to give me another number for me to call them back. I said no way, how do I know who is who?

Received a call from a lady saying she was with Aurora Healthcare wanting to confirm my DOB and address before she would tell me the nature of her call.  I told her I wouldn't give my DOB not knowing who I was talking to.  She gave me this number and a reference number to call back to.  I haven't called back and by what I see here, I won't be.

Easiest thing in the world would be to call them back at a known, published phone number.

Received a call from this number as a voice mail identifying as a representative for Aurora Health Care and requesting a return call, which they will not be getting from me.

Called 3 times. Said they were Aurora, & would I like to pay my bill credit card? The had voices in back ground, & hung up before I could answer. Called Aurora customer Service from a statement. They didn't have any idea what I was talking about. I had no bill.  Really a scam!

Nice woman said she was with Aurora (Not Advocate Aurora which they are called now) and asked for my DOB and address before she could talk to me about an important business matter.  I coincidentally was just on my on-line account and saw that I did not owe anything so I asked for a number to call back on.  She gave me the 866 number above and I looked it up here.  Thank you all for posting.  I will not bother to call them.

I have received two calls from this number both times they have left a message stating they are Aurora, and it is regarding an important business matter. I am fully current on any and all bills with Aurora. When I called Aurora directly, they informed me that this was not a known number for their facility.

Same thing happened to me today.  I came here to check out the number since I know I don't have any business with Aurora Healthcare and my daughter works for them.  Don't trust this number and do not give them any information.

They are still up to this in August 2023, called me and wouldn't tell me what they wanted or even give me a clue unless I gave them personal data "to confirm my identity".  They gave me a call back number when I wouldn't do it (866-244-1022), but no way I'm calling back.

So glad that I looked up this number, the call I received was shown from 414-567-7622 which when I looked up that number it showed it 92 year old woman as the owner. The message that was left behind was to call the 866-244-1022 between the hours of 8 to 5. No other information was provided. So strange.

Wanted personal info and wouldn’t tell me why.  Gave me the same # to call back.

Was called by this number twice and they left a cryptic voicemail saying to call back for an important business matter. They asked me to verify my wife’s DOB and address before telling me what they were calling about. No thanks. Then I called back to the other number they provided and was given an AI bot automated messages saying they were advocate. Another red flag. Given to another operator and same thing - asking for wife’s DOB and address. A real hospital would never act like this. Please don’t fall for it!

I was called by this number - they would not explain what they were calling about - only "personal matter".  Called the 866 number and was for billing.  They do have your personal information as I intentionally gave false information and they stated it didn't match.  I told them they must have the wrong person then.  Do not fall for this!

I just had this same call. She was very persistent . I would not give the info and googled the number she gave me and luckily found this thread. She literally said this verbatim. I’m so happy for this thread! I told her to mail me the info if she was from aurora … she should have my address, then hung up.
