I just received 2 separate text messages from "Chili's" about an order I never placed.  Was given 2 separate links to open (which I didn't)  A scam all the way!

Your conclusion then is that it must absolutely be a scam because there is absolutely no possible way in this universe that it could have simply been sent to the wrong phone number?

Definitely a scam... I received the same text allegedly about a Chilis Order from this number.

Definitely not a scam. Someone at 800notes provided a link to the website. Upon checking it with Whois.com it turns out that the Brinker Corporation owns it. Brinker owns Chilis among other restaurants. For the rest of what you need to know read my previous post.

I got the same thing from Chili's.  Didn't open texts. But checked the number and seem to be a Chili's number.

On Jan 7, 2024 I received 2 Texts about a fake Order with Chili's and a Link i did not click on to Pay!  Second Text from 1 844 755  8561 wanted me to CLICK ON LINK AND REPLY to 2 questions ad to how they did! LOL UNBELIEVABLE. SCAM  SCAM SCAM

?  For instance, did you run the link through Whois.com to see who it belonged to? Did you check into the information there to see if the text could have come from Chili's? Did you take into consideration that it might have simply been sent to a wrong phone number or are you of the opinion that everyone is perfect? No, you are in fact wrong. The link is to Chili’s, with one ‘I’ so it is a scam.

I notice that you didn't bother to post the link as proof. Why? Are you afraid that I might run it through Whois.com and prove you wrong?

That number texted me yesterday with a link, saying "Please PAY with this link" There was no company name, just a request for payment. Then today the same number texted me with a link to a survey about how I enjoyed Maggiano's, a place I've never been.

I think this is fake as well.  I got the first text about paying and blocked it.  Then another saying the food is ready for pickup (Chili's). I'm in South Dakota FYI

JackReacher and TedUnderhill were carrying out there discussion almost 2 years ago so not likely they'll return to consider your comment.  Unfortunately, sometimes persons post misinformation that leads to people missing important calls.  It appears JackReacher was attempting to get TedUnderhill to provide evidence to support his hypothesis.  All-in-all, it appeared to be a civil exchange which is probably why the moderators let it be.  They tend to remove "discussions" that become abusive in nature.
