called me several times and left this phone number.  Call comes through as 999-999-9999.  I did not answer.

caller says they are HR Accounts trying to collect a debt I owe, gave e a ref. # and a web site to goto to pay in full, so I looked it up, its for $98 to a hospital that as far as I can find out dont exist, but either way, since my dad is a doctor and mom a nurse in the hospital here in town...... well you get the picture, I only go one place for my medical needs and its not the one they are claiming I owe, plus I dont get charged since both my parents work there..... so S C A M !!!!

person called asking for someone who could verify employment for a driver. Would not give name or self or name of individual asking for. When asked what company, refused stating that he did not need to give the information. I offered vmail since individual to assist him is out of office. He did not leave a vmail. *69'd the number and got this. when I called teh company, they told me they could not search for the number they called. I replaied that if they call back then I will report them. Ridiculous runaround when I know they can reseearch the number....he may not been able personally, but the company can.

received 2 calls from this number in less than a minute.  Didn't answer it either time, as I had received one the day before in which they left a v-mail stating that by listening to the message I was acknowledging that I am the person they were trying to reach and that I will make payment at as soon as I receive the message.  It then went on to identify the company as H & R Accounts claiming to be calling to collect on a medical bill.  They then gave a reference number and left a web address to contact when I am ready to "make payment in full".  Seems like a scam.  Anyone who actually understands "legaleze" has to be skeptical of something where the message states that by hearing the message you are agreeing to its terms...

I constantly get these calls from them. I'm only in highschool and I get them during class all the time.
I'm glad I don't leave my ringer on because I would get it taken away every day.

received 2 calls in a 20 min period. both said this is an attempt to collect a debt and left me a reference number that I can use to pay my debt in full... they say it is medical bills
I have had all my bills paid and still get these calls I have even gone as far as calling the hospital and clearing it with them

This is a legitimate debt collection company that usually deals with medical bills.  We hear from them when we are late paying bills.  They have several numbers they call from.  I just looked this one up because it wasn't programmed into my phone and see its them as well.  If they are calling you it would be good to actually talk to them and either set up a payment plan or help them know that you have no debts to collect so they can get you out of the system.

I got a call from H & R Accounts this morning and it was a debt collection agency.  I gave the account number they provided and they gave me the name of the organization they were collecting for.  There was a mistake on my Bank Bill Payer account. I thought I paid them, but it didn't go through.  I called the hospital and they said they had to go by what their policy was and refused to take the payment themselves, even after I explained.

If you get one of these calls, I'd avdvise you to return their call with the account # they gave you.  I got to them in time to NOT ruin my credit.  But if you ignore them, you liable to ruin yours.

SCAM! Don't answer their calls..block the number. They're annoying as hell and won't stop calling. Usually, they call about a debt, but it is to a hospital that doesn't even exist, via research. Carry on everyone

It may be legitimate but I do not know about ethical.  We are on Medicaid and while traveling to visit Mom in another state we had a medical emergency n Moline, Ill.  Since the emergency was out of our home state, the state medicaid would not cover it.  Have not been able to get an application to be covered under Illinois Medicaid retro actively for the travel emergency.   The Hospital collected the Medicaid since they had accounts with out state medicaid. The Doctors want us to cover it.since joining our state medicaid is "not worth their time."
So the doctors know we have no money, and rather then doing what they have to do to get paid by our state medicaid they sold the debt to Rob.  He knows the situation and still wants us to find the spare change and pay him off.  He even has been told to only contact us by mall and he still calls.

May be legitimate, but ethical?

Called saying they were from 'HR Accounts' to collect a debt and left a contact number.  I called the number and there was a automated response that began with "Thank you for calling The Business."  It was literally called 'The Business'.  Not sure if this is a scam or a joke.

Actually....this is a legit company.  I had a medical bill that I had made a payment arrangement to and they (the hospital) turned the last $95 over to this collection agency.  Steve was Very respectful.  Not rude at all. Just set up payment and it was nearly painless.

They said they were look for a guy named Mike. Said that this number has been on file for some time. The girl sounded legitimate but I wasn't the one she was looking for.

Since it's obvious your an employee lets state the real facts!  Sorry but they are a third hand collector they buy them for less money to collect and you are by law not required to communicate with them. You want to set up payments then you can call the facility at any time but if you pay $10.00 a month at the hospital in which services were given there is nothing the hospital can do to collect further!  Never give the hospital your SS# as it is only for employers! Read your federal credit protection act it tells you not to give it out for any reason! They do not need it for insurance and they do not need your photo ID either if they want one you can give them your Sams card or a school ID etc but your licence number is not anyone else's business either!  If they are told to stop that you are dealing with the hospital directly they have to stop if they do. It file a complaint with the Attn General in your state.

Well they should give reason why and for who they are calling.. there are so many scammers out there. They should know that.. NO one is going to call them back when all they say is HR department.. They called me and only said I was verifying who I was by listening to the VM REALLY?? they didn't give me any Ref #

At one point a few years ago. I was on Medicaid for about 3 months. My hand was crushed and was taken to Local Hospital. Then two days later was taking by ambulance to hospital 2 hours away because my hand was severity infected and was in risk of loosing my hand.. But my point I was on Medicaid and Iam still getting Hospital bills because for some reason they did pay it. I REFUSE to pay it I told them that.  OF course they will always win.. But I'm not sure who this company is really. they give me NO info. So not sure if I want to call them back. WHY would a company said. YOU are verifying who you are by listening to your VM. and be rude if you do talk to them. I'm sorry for your Medicaid..  I just don't get it. WHy if you need help do they either NOT give it to you or NOT pay.

Collection agency.  Called me while I was with a student and asked me various questions before finally admitting they were collecting a debt.  The debt was for Integris Hospital, where I've never even been!  Definitely owe them nothing.  I told the woman that repeatedly, and she rudely refused to answer and continued her spiel.  Very very annoying.  I had to hang up on her.  Don't answer calls from these [***]!
