discover card - recorded message making an offer no one can refuse - i refused - i call them back regularly, listen to the message, then hang up. i figure they have to pay a per call fee

Receive several calls per week even though I am on Do Not Call list. Do not answer calls from this number or any "unidentified" or "not provided" number. Far too many solicitation calls get past the Do Not Call List. Should be a way of prohibiting calls that do not identify the caller. Calls from this number frequently follow calls from 866-706-5681. Coincidental?

I had already contacted the National Do Not Call registry and had my number removed about 2 years ago.  But apparently that isn't enough.  Here is the response I rec'd from Discover Card today:

got a call from the 801 and this. stop calling me please!!

Same as everyone else--multiple calls per day, no one on the other end if I (very rarely) pick up. I just changed my preferences via the Discover Privacy Preference Line"(800-225-5202)--let's see if that does any good.

this number calls all day and night. I am sick of it!

I receive at least 2 calls from this call daily. I don't answer and they leave no message. This is very irritating. If this is indeed Discover Card and they trying to sell something then leave a message so I can call and cancel my card. I am on the Do Not Call list as well.

I get multiple calls a day from this number and 866-290-7821 that is also Discover Card as well.  I'm going to have to cancel my Discover Card and get my number on a do not call list.  Between the two numbers I get 4-5 calls a day it's horrible.

Would appreciate not receiving any calls from any telemarketer.  I pay my bills and do not wish to be disturbed.

Number rings but says unknow number.

This is Discover Card.  Go to their website, under privacy policies, and there's a number to call to have them quit calling.

The caller asked for my wife, she is the primary card holder on our Discover account. When I informed him that I was also on the account and asked what I could help him with, he stated that he was with Discover and that there was nothing wrong with the account and that the call was for her benefit. I said "ok great, what can I do for you." Then I heard a dial tone.
When I tried to call the number back, I got a prerecorded voice mail. Second call back the same. The third call back however, was the same man's voice with a message that sounded an awful lot like him talking live and not a prerecorded message. I immediately reported it to Discover's fraud department.

I called that number and it is Discover card selling something...Iam so mad with Discover they should not call customers, if I want anything I would call myself..STOP IT DISCOVER CARD!!!!!!!!!

We keep getting calls from this  866-290-4961  number and they never leave a message. I really do wish that they would stop. We have been on the no call list too. y8t3

it is DISCOVER how can I get rid of that caller they call  6 or 7 times per day...

Dont answer if they call you, and like everybody else, I received a call from this number but they either hung up or I was disconnected.

Discover Card Services.
They've called several times on a daily basis.
Never a voicemail message.
