Called ,hung up after I answered. I called back, was told they were calling for someone I never heard of. Was told my number would be taken off within 24 hours. Received two more hangups today so far.

Has called 10 times a week for a few months, asks for my dad when I call back and is the voice of a woman, asking if he was here, I said "no" and she hung up. what a daughter of a glitch

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

I receive a call from this number - 866-310-3882 - nearly every day.  My Caller ID displays only the telephone number.  It is likely a fake telephone number but that does not matter.  While I don't bother answering the call anymore, it does not matter what the live or automated caller says, it is likely false information until you are sucked in anyway.  After you return the call to the number they provide (or punch the number they suggest), you find out the real reason and originator of the call.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call such as this one I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  It doesn't matter if it is a fake number or not.  I provide the date, time of the call, what the Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one.  This action lets the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls - and if they (the FTC) want the reports to stop, they must stop the unwanted calls by imposing heavy fines or allowing the commercial providers such as Verizon, etc. to block the numbers.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.  Complaining at this website, other than identifying the caller and letting others know they are not unique, does little to stop the calls.

If more people would complain to the FTC and not just complain on this forum, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one complaint alone.  It takes many complaints before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.

Don't just get mad and vent on this website; get even by reporting the number to the FTC.

Gonna block this one computer calling listening for greeting best not to speak or hit all numbers to make it think its not a valid # to call back. So annoying

If they refuse to stop calling and get rude with you and are threatening you, then tell them you will sue them, press charges against them for harassment and report them to the Police, FCC, FTC, FBI, State Attorney's Office. CIA and if necessary, The KGB!!   lol  

I bet they hang up on you then! If they keep calling keep track of the date, time and phone #'s they use, The more documentation you have the better off you will be in getting them stopped or even winning a law suit against them!

Remember to stay calm and do not curse at them, even though you would like to. If you remain calm and keep a monotone voice that will piss them off! lol  Then you have them by the Cajones!

these people need to be stop if i call them like they call here i would be in trouble if they need to talk to some one they need to leave a massage for the person they are calling i have better things  to do then play games with them i don't answer calls with no id so stop calling every stuid day waste of my time and yours

I get called every so often but have never answered.  After reading this I won't answer.  Going to check out that youmail now.

There have been a few calls from this number in the last few days. Somehow a bunch of debt collectors have our phone number linked to a woman named Elizabeth (last name withheld). I've never heard of her, and we have had our number for over 10 years. Therefor I have no idea whether she gives out our number when she takes out another loan, or whether it's just a mix-up.

Anyway, we continually receive calls for this woman from (presumably) different companies. After seeing this number on my caller ID again today, I called them back, and they confirmed they were looking for Elizabeth. I explained the situation and asked them to remove me from the list. The representative said she would, but it may take 48 hours to register.
Hopefully that'll take care of this, and if not, I'll file a complaint with do-not-call.

Point being: If you're not in fact the person they are looking for, calling them and asking them to remove your number may do the trick. I've done this with other companies numerous times before.

All I can say is that I hope whoever or whatever is trying to scam, I hope his or her family die!

I got a call from that number today on cell phone.  Did not answer and hit the "decline" button, no message was left.  I find these calls extremely annoying.

I received another call today,

I get called by thes SOB's every day at 11:15 on the dot, and have since the beginning of this month. I'd call back but I'm just so PO'd I could throw my phone off a bridge. Please, any confirmation that it's allied would be helpful. I like to know who I'm mad at.

They called again today, I answered and they were looking for a Maria.  Told them they had wrong number and then they hung up.

These sleaze bags keep calling our land line here in South Carolina.  If someone will not give you. their name, their company name address and phone number do not give them any info.  Call them what they are, crooks and hang up.  File a report with the Consumer affairs (or like office, depending on your state), as well as the the FTC.

These people call me every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. They call at all hours looking for Mark Frankenburger.
