wow, what a trip getting the same call from price distribution center, here in alaska

Got a phone call from Prize distribution center saying I had entered a contest for a lincoln navigator some time back and congratulations. They said to call 1-866-313-0311.

I received the same message, and had entered a contest, so I called back. I gave my last name only and my phone number (they already had it anyway). They thought I lived in CA, then changed it to to FL. I asked them to verify my address so ensure that they had the right person. They would only give the city, and it was WRONG.

The same message was left on my cell phone from Jim...

I got one of these messages from this Jim to my cell today Nov.3,2010.  The #  it came from was 708-248-7470 and to reply to 1-866-313-0311. For this  Lincoln Navigator . I feel if things should be given its to children like mine who have been through more than their share of problems . Special needs children. Those who have struggled and were almost lost their fragile lives.I always run my checks when I enter anything.

Got a call after 9 pm central time from a Jim who said he was from the Prize Distribution Center and was calling regarding a contest we entered regarding a Lincoln Navagator and congratulating us.  He left the following number:  866-313-0311.  Never entered a contest for this.  SCAM

OK those two "winners" above" are with the scammers no doubt

I got this message, too, from this "Jim" guy. Called my cell phone number and left the same stupid message (just ambiguous enough).  I just KNEW this had to be a scam, so I keyed the number he left in the message into Google advanced search, and PRESTO!  Confirmation of [***], as suspected. Thank goodness we now have somewhere to look to verify crap like this.

Years ago, my elderly mother was strung along by Publisher's Clearing House. She truly believed she'd won once, and when I spoke to her on the phone, she alarmed me because she didn't sound right.  Turns out she was EXHAUSTED.  She'd been literally UP ALL NIGHT with excitement about winning, because the "Prize Patrol" had asked her to diagram the location of her home, and she'd gotten some kind of call (automated, it turned out), and she thought they'd show up any minute!  

I called PCH and reamed them a new one, and told them to take my mother's address off of their freakin' junk mailing list, RIGHT NOW, or I'd sue them 'til Hell froze over, cost be damned.

Mom had STACKS of magazines in her house... with titles like "Car and Driver." She thought she had to order something every time, or she'd miss out on winning this garbage contest.  I could just bite right through 1/4" bolts of steel, I'm so furious. STEAM COMES OUT OF MY EARS as I recall this, even these many years later.

Good ole Jim has been a busy boy. I bet Lincoln would be excited to know about all these Navigators that they have sold to Prize Distribution Center.
I let this go to voice mail recognizing it as a scam. If I had won a contest they would call and say something like "Hello, this message is for Autumn. You entered Acme's contest in June and you have won a prize. Please call etc." A generic message with no specific contest and not calling a specific person is a scam.
How exactly do these people get past the Do Not Call registry?

Yesterday, December 1, 2010, I too received a message from Jim stating it was from Prize Distribution regarding a Lincoln Navigator.  Same message as listed above.  Glad that I decided to check this out before I calling back.  I figured it was too good to be true!

I got the same call this morning.  It shows up on caller ID as private.  Jim called with the same script.

I also received a call from  " Jim " telling me I also won a Navigator (I thought it was  GPS ) anyway I'm so glad I checked the internet and all the comments. My sixth sence told me it was a scam. Thanks everyone.

I got a call at 4:00pm Central Time. It said I had won a L-NAvigator. Is this a scam or What?

I LOVE GOOGLE! Yep, called "Jim" LOL back and in the evening when there was no one to answer at the "Distribution center" LOL so OK I left my name and number (a land phone which is mainly a mess. phone) and then thought Google it. He said I would be happy with the outcome of the contest entry which was a while back WITHOUT saying I won a Navigator.

got a call from jim at the prize dist. center said i entered a contest to win a navigator and congrats. said i should call back. glad i checked out this site first. i won't be returning his phone call!

They must have thousands of Navigators to give away because Jim called me today and left a message. It was the same message that many before posted here.

Just got a call from Jim the Prize Distribution Center, wanted us to call back because of "very good news" and ended with a "congratulations!"... this is def a scam.. how do you report it?

Got the same message today. Called back and Greg answered. Scam!!!

He hung up on me when i said i was under 25. the guy was rude as hell.

I have gotten 3 messages from "Jim" on my cell phone.  He is a persistent little scammer.  I never entered a contest for a Lincoln Navigator.  Thought it was very suspicious that he has called me 3 times and never once used my name.  How can this be reported?
