Received voicemail from this number, a “Ashley” with a VERY thick Indian accent :p staying my order with Office Depot was on hold due to an issue with my credit card and stated to contact my bank and then call her back to resolve the issue.. no order for Office Depot was ever made.

A woman with a very thick accent (Indian, I think) called and left a voicemail about my order from Office Depot. I do have an order placed (customized office supplies), and they knew what the items were, and gave me a reference number. When I called back, the line was all static-y and a male answered. Very hard to hear and understand. He wanted my credit card number. I told him I needed a proof sent to me to approve of our custom order, he said it would be emailed to me in the next 5-10 mins., but didn't need my email address as it was attached to the reference number. It's been over an hour and I haven't got an email yet. ?? I honestly can't tell if this is legit or not. The previous reviews are mixed. It does seem strange, but then again, lots of companies use overseas call centers. So, IDK! But how would they know what I ordered, if it's not legit, unless Office Depot has been hacked, like someone else said. ??????

Got an email that looked like an Office Max follow up to my order. It said my credit card was rejected and to call this number to resolve it.  Always best to think twice and three times before taking their bait.

Same experience. I had an order with Office Depot and got an email saying it was on hold. I called Paypal and they advised me that the funds were available and that OD hadn't yet collected them. I called OD's 800 number (NOT 866-345-3139 as was given me in the email) and the person I spoke to said they'd need another payment method--namely, my credit card number. I told them that I used Paypal specifically so that I wouldn't HAVE to give my credit card number out, and told them to cancel the order. They really need to get their act together.

Woman with a very thick accent asked for my boss by 1st name.  When I said he wasn't available, she said our "office depot order was on hold."   She gave me an order # and told me to give him the message.  It sounded very sketchy.  I see now based on these other reports, that it isn't a legit call.

This is a valid number for Office Depot. A transaction wasn't going through PayPal. I authorized to process again. It went through. Called office depot to confirm 8663453139 was a valid number.

Was left a message from a foreign accented woman. Stated that my order was on hold because of a credit card error. I called Office Depot and was assured that all was good and my receipt proved it. Also, the bank accepted the charge so no problem there. I did not return the call as i feel it is a scam.
