They keep calling me but leaving no message. If I don't know the number I don't answer. If it's important enough I feel as though they should leave some kind of message. I am on the do not call list, too, but that ONLY refers too 800 numbers ~ 866, 877, etc. ~ you have to have a special adapter to block those calls. It's quite expensiverfrom what I've heard; that's why I don't have one. No one can make me answer my own phone.

Another call on Aug. 7.  No message was left. Came up as Toll Free call.

There is a 7 year statute of limitations they obviously do not understand. After 7 years..its basically tough [***]!

This company has called me several times a week for as many months.  They do not mention the persons name who owes the debt but I know it is not me.  I don't answer the calls but they don't give up trying.  I heard this was a scam by people trying to obtain information for identy theft.  Be careful..........

Another call today. No message left. If I don't know the number, I don't answer nor call it back.

This number calls each and every day.  Even if you answer, all they say is my mothers first name and that is it.
If the machine picks up it only says my mothers first name without any other message.
It is extremely annoying to say the least considering my mother is in the hospital on life support
When I call the number back, there is no answer and all I hear is an echo of my own voice

How do I block this number from calling

Have been getting calls from this number everyday, several times a day.  No message is ever left.  Comes up as Toll Free on Caller UD.

This is a debt collection service.  If you have your name listed as a first initial and last name, you probably get called all the time....  Example....  They are looking for a George Jones....  They call every G. Jones in the phone book and leave that message....   If you call them back and give them your number they will stop calling....  When they ask for George, tell them that NO George Jones lives here, please remove me from your call list....  That's the only way to stop them....  Either that, or you need to pay your past due bill!!

Got a call from this number. It went to voicemail. They did not leave a message but you could hear background noise. Very annoying!!!!!!!!

These bottom feeders call at 8:00 am on a Sunday morning no less, leaving taped messages for someone who isn't me (I have no debt). I get repeated messages on my answering machine, and when I attempted to call back I still got a taped message. This kind of harassment should be illegal!!! I am also on the do not call list.

Some one is calling saying, "This an attempt to collect a debt". They want me to return a call, but I keep getting a recorded message telling me to leave a message. I wiil talk to them if they would answer the phone.

Called to be a third party collection agent for AT&T for an outstanding account for a number that is not mine.

I have been receiving calls from this company (AFNI Debt Collection) for a year since I got a new phone number. They use an auto-dialer to make 8 to 10 continuous calls every day and tie up my phone. They are looking for someone I do not know. I have spoken with them several times and given them this information. The numbers they have called me from are: (866) 352‑045‍8, (603) 246-5167, (857) 254‑818‍7, (857) 254‑824‍7, (857) 254‑824‍8 and (877) 859‑877‍9. I've contacted the FTC and the Attorney General in my state and they have been unable to help me. Today I had enough!!! I have the ability to block phone numbers with my Comcast service and I have done this but when they use the autodialer to call multiple times it ties up my phone number if a family member is trying to call me. I use a headset to get/receive hands-free calls so today I spent a couple of hours redialing the last number they called me from and putting my phone on mute. When they answered I just let them hang there going "Hello? Hello?" until they hung up and then I would immediately redial them and do the same thing again. They have caller ID and I was evidently reaching the same boiler room call center so after the first hour I'd reached every employee in the room. If they keep calling me I will do this for as long as it takes to get them to stop calling me.

They are a debt collection agency - they asked for someone that apparently used to have my phone number (one of the many debt collection agencies that has called for him). They were very polite and removed my number from their list.

You are like me , I  also have caller ID no name or number, I will not answer the call.

This company has called my home phone everyday 24 hours a day. I want them too STOP CALLING.
