The caller had a heavy accent and claimed to be from the William Seigel and Associates Law Office.  They were attempting to contact a relative of mine (living in California) for some purpose they would not identify, were persistant in attempting to gain my relatives phone number and would not say how my number came to them as the point of contact for my relative (I am on the east coast).
The whole conversation and request was questionable before reading the other posts. I will not be forwarding the information on.

Yup, some foreign, could barely understand the guy, called for my granddaughter who does not live here. Claimed he was calling from the law office of William Segal & Associates and gave me his phone # as 866-360-3992 so my granddaughter could call him back. But I always Google phone numbers I do not know to find out who they are. Now that I find all the messages above, there is no way I am giving my granddaughter this message. It was scary to think of some law office called her. If there is a way to knock this scam out of the phone lines I very much appreciate anything that can be done!

I received a call from "William W. Siegel & Associates" with regards to an UNKNOWN T-Mobile Account that they claimed in owed over $1200 on.  They were willing to settle for a little over $600.  Of course they are, since it's all free money to them, as nothing is really owed on these bogus accounts.  They also try to solicit your Social Security #; very cleverly I might add, since they have the last 4 digits, but not the whole number.  We didn't give them any personal data, and like all collection scams, they never provide a credible name; i.e., how many Indians do you know with the name "John Henry Smith"?  Does anyone know what government agency I should report this matter to, or who else this needs to be reported on?

They just called asking for my uncle. What a weird accent.

This clown called my land line today claiming to be looking for my son also claiming to be with a law office ( Michark Kay) wanted me to tell him how to contact my son I ask him how much this job paid he told me he could not pay me anything so I laid into him with a real good cussing. Made me feel real good.    Jim

Called from the 18663603992 and when I said my husband no longer lived here the called right back with the number 18003911547 claiming they were going to have him arrested because they were attorneys and could do that! My butt I told them you are a debt collector who is misrepresenting you self as attonerys and it was and illegal call because they never said they were collecting a debt they just wanted me to pay them with a credit card over the phone! I told the Indian woman she was crazy if she thought I would do that!! Stupid people

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. Since I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know (especially since my number is unpublished and on the Do Not Call list), I let it go to voicemail. They did not leave a message. Must not have been very important.

This is a debt collector and as some have said are the bottom of the bottom feeders. This is not a law office and if you tell them you are recording the conversation they hang up. How rude.

What year is this?  How does anyone think they can ask for SSN digits over the phone? It's a TOTAL SCAM.

As much as he was persistent, I was too.  His name is Karna Bhika supposedly from Manhattan/New York.

Using advice from others reporting here, I mentioned that the call was being recorded, but that didn't seem to make a difference.  The caller persistently asked for the SSN and address without giving any details of the business matter.  

I did not relent, and neither should anyone else!

My brother just received a call from this number also. They left a message for me to call  866-630-3992 with an 8 digit ref. number. I don't understand how they got my brothers number because he just changed it. My brother said that he couldn't understand him either because he had an accent. Thank God I gooled the number and came accross this site. Thanx to all.

I just called this guy and ripped him a new [***]. I'll keep messing with everyone of these guys. Just employ the same tactics they use on you back on them.

I just received a call from this same number and the guy was asking for my sister, well I told him this was not her number but did he want to leave a message, he left some info for me to pass on, but would not give any details.  I googled the name of the law office to see what I could find, and came across this site.  I will not be passing on any information, as I told him you called my number and if you cant give me detail info to pass to her I cant pass your message either.

I recently received a letter in the mail at my old adress stating that at the age of 16 I opened a bally total fitness account year 2004  the letter was sent by Wm. W. Siegel & Assoc. At law , LLC 7 Penn plaza , suite 1500 new York Ny 10001-3995
they stated I had a debt and had to contact them to confirm or dispute  so I did the man that answered had a foreign accent I coudnt understand his name was Vaughn Girvhar  the first thing he said was could you confirm your refference number followed by your ssn I refused and he continued to ask me questions I refused every single one I asked them where was he located in the united states he said Ny. I asked the address and he continues to ask me for my social. I got frustrated and asked him for his manager . The man that picked up second sounded exactly like the 1st one just a deeper voice foreign and couldn't understand a bit this ones name was Erwin .. Right. I was pissed off at this time and the only thing I told them was that how is it I live in NYC and have a debt with a ballys total fitness located in Virginia and how is it that a 16 yr old can sighn  a contract with BTF  withought a co sighner this manager had the nerve to say " have some common sence and think of why would someone  take my name and address and open an account make a payment and then stop if it's not me " all I said was my lawyers are going to contact you in 2 minutes you better pick up. By the way the number they post now is 1800-275-4860 "Total SCAM" they had me worrying about my credit this account was supposedly opened 6 damn years ago are you kidding me .!!!!

At 8:59 a.m. I received a called from a man with a heavy accent. He asked for me but by my maiden name. Once I let him know that he was speaking to me, he asked that I verify the last four digits of my social. I replied that I needed to know what this issue was about before I disclose my information. He man became very rude. I was able to get the company address from him before I got off the phone. When I called back, another man answer the phone. He asked for my phone number. He said that they do not have my name under that phone number. After looking “good” he said that he found my name. He asked for me to verify the last four digits of my social. I said to him, “Before I verify the last four digits of my social, I want to let you know that this call will be recorded. Do I have your consent?” He said no. I asked for his name. He said that he cannot give me that information. I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said that he cannot give me any information until I verify the last four digits of my social. Then I asked him to remove my name from their list, and do not call me again or I will file a complaint with a lawyer. He said he cannot remove my name and they will not stop calling me.

just receive a phone call from the law offices of william segal and associates??? they asked to speak to my fiance .. i questioned them how did they get my phone number for him.. he has his own phone number we dont have any finances together so i dont understand how he got my number to contact my fiance.. he wouldnt discuss anything further wit me i said fine and asked if they had a website he refused to give it to me which was stupid because that has nothing to do with the matter.. they gave me 2 bonus websites dat didnt work.. i just wntd to see the credits that a reputable lawyer usually has on his website all the contact information where they are located but i couldnt get any further info and they keep leavin me on hold and never come back to the line.. i believe they are just trying to get your identity information..and coming across this website proves it..

Just received a call yesterday from these folks.  Bogus claim regarding an old T-Mobile account.  Never used T-Mobile.  They were rude and wouldn't give info out except to claim they're from Willam Siegal Law Firm.

I don't know how these people get your cell phone number but I keep getting this and when I dial it back it's  from some law office. They call but don't leave a voice mail and if it was an official business it wouldn't have a problem leaving a voice mail.  Don't answer or call them back.

Received a call about an T-Mobile account that had been paid.

Like others I received a call this afternoon at my home residents. They actually left a voicemail with the weird british accent, which almost sounded like someone with a digitizer.

The funny thing is that the message says that if this is not "xxx" then press a number, if this is "xxx" wait three seconds as the call contains personal information. What reputable business conveys any personal information over a voice mail.*ugh*

Anyway, they left a number to call them back on: 877-247-6161 along with an account number to give them.
