If they continue to call tell them "Please don't call again. If you do I will be contacting the CFPB for violating the FDCPA". That should put an end to the calls. Hope this helps you!

I got a call but I didn't answer. I haven't signed for any loans so...

I happened to be working the phones at work and this guy called asking for me somInsaid me was me. Told me he needed to speak to me and wouldnt tell me what it was regarding. Just a very important buisness matter and that they needed to verify my bday and ss to tell me. I told him I was busy and that he should call at another time. Asked if he could call me at home...the number I dont use anymore and I said yes. He also gave me his name and number for me to call him. Not happening tho. So since he wouldnt tell me what it was about I googled his number and hes a debt collector. Most likely for my student loans. Just dont like the fact that he had the nerve to call me at work. Twice.

These people are legitimate. I defaulted on student loans and Delta Management called my HR for wage garnishment attempts. I called the government to resolve my loan and they said that Delta Management is now in possession of my student loan. Alot of people on here are saying it's [***] because they never had a student loan or they never co-sighned for one but they could be calling because a family member or friend used their name and number as a second, third, or fourth contact. Take their call and work it out with them.
