Call repeatedly and will not give a reason for the call

They are trying to collect a debt which was paid in 2000. They even offered to settle for half. I have proof the debt was satisfied and that does'nt matter. I believe they got a hold of some old records and are trying to SCAM people out of money.
MY CREDIT IS PERFECT and will stay that way.

Debt collectors don't follow the same do no call list. If you have a debt they are legally allowed to call since you owe. 1800 numbers on do not call are for solicitaion only. Each state has their own law as far as how many times they can call in a day. The no answer is sometimes the person being on mute and not realizing you picked up or it could be the fact that they are on an automatic dialer that calls and takes a minute for it to show the other party on the line. Also, if you just pick up and hang up they are allowed to keep calling...until you verify who you are they can keep on calling. Once they get a hold of you and verify they are talking to you they can't call back if they do, then they are breaking the law. I know I have been in collections.

In case you would like to send him a letter or visit him asking him to have his company stop calling you or something.

Ask him if he knows a good exterminator to get rid of a den of diseased rats.

some very rude lady (indian) called did not give her name, company name and demanded that someone call her back immediately!!!!

i have been getting these calls as well.  No one ever there, no message left, nothing but irritating constant calls.  

The call comes in as toll free call with the above number.

they dont stop calling!!!

they keep asking for somebody else..iasked them to quit calling since i dont know who they are asking for.just keep calling

says it is a collecation agency about a bill yhat is 13 years old
