They are calling everyone with the same name that owes the debt. They are phishing, looking for a bite. No law says that you have to return their call. Conversing with them only encourages them. Ignore, hang-up, and they will get tired and go away.

This is a new one for me.  They are gone for the day. but they will hear from me tomorrow.  Being a  collector myself, I know exactly how use a phone to invade their comfort zone and stink up their cubicle.

On the phone you can be anything you need to be.  Polite, firm, rude, or jerk.  I let them decide.  If they take my number out on the first call, they will never experience firm etc.  I do hope they call again because I love messing with these people especially when it's a wrong number. It's a hobby!!!

The folks who say ARS are legit are either [***] or ARS Representatives (meaning: equally [***]). This company is scam. Scam companies HAPPEN. If one is so stupid to preach how good ARS is, then they are probably the same people who give their funds to ANY Tom, Dick or Harry that walks up and says they owe money.

I assume you work for this so called business, otherwise you would not be putting in a good word for them. All of these comments are from people not accused of anything, but of people who may or may not know someone allegedly not paying for something. I am also receiving phone calls from this place--they are not looking for me.

At 10:20 a.m. Jan. 19, 2012, a call from 971-220-1050 (Gresham, Ore.), provided no identifying information but left a robodial message. Here's a portion:

"... some information in the mail about your credit card account. This call to follow up on that information to let you know that you can still take advantage of this terrific program, your card companies have authorized us to contact you ..."

At 1:32 p.m., a call from 501-303-4193 (Benton, Ark.), which shows up in a Google cross-reference to a collector called Nationwide Credit Inc., left no message.

At 1:37 p.m., a call from 402-817-1032 (Lincoln, Neb.), left a robodial message saying that if one continued to listen, he or she acknowledged he or she was the person they were trying to contact, and that there would be a "three-second pause so you could listen in private," followed by:

"This is Stellar Recovery Inc. at 866-860-8796. This communication is from a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose."

So, out of the blue, three calls, same day, all seemingly unrelated?  

What a coincidence!

Just sounds like you owe a lot of people.... Usually when people are behind on one bill, they are behind on multiple- take ownership if you owe it... That friggin simple... Do you want an escape route? Then spend the same time trying to resolve ..., and/ or money to resolve as well, if you legitimately owe it- geesh... That's why our economy Is the way it is-- take appropriate dose where needed folks !

If you owe it - pay it.... If you don't - don't!
