Called on Saturday at 8:14am; left no message.

The caller was looking for my son and until they identify themselves I am not giving out that information.

This number has called me repeatedly leaving an automated message with my full legal name wanting to speak with me.  I answered once & it asks to hit "1" if you are the person they are searching for.  I did it to see what would happen & it just rang over & over again.  They have not left any other message & I have never spoken to a live person.  I was anwering & just hanging up but now I don't even answer.

They call me repeatedly leaving messages for someone I don't know.  I have called them many times to let them know they have a wrong number and ask them to remove it.  They continue to call.  Everything is automated so there is no one I can speak to directly. They are identifying themselves as Arcadia collection agency.

They have called many times looking for a Michael Nader- I have had this number for 15 years- never a michael nader here, I have gone over to file a claim with the government site because i see other people hve asked to have their number removed and they have not done it- I just called in and told them to remove the number and they shouldnt have robots calling people. I'm ready to file a complaint if i get another phone call from them. tired of this crap.

6/24/26  This number calls my elderly mothers telephone more than daily.  They aren't looking for her.  The calls ate 2 types:
The caller asks for someone who is related to her and tries to get info from her about the person they ask about, obviously trying to manipulate her.  The other type of call is continued calling and calling her phone and when she picks up the phone there's either dead silence or a 10 digit tel callback number is rapidly given (automated).

Someone else writing about this telephone number above, 866-585-1496, noted the caller is Arcadia (Debt Collectors).
Arcadia has had a reputation of not respecting people, whether or not they are the actual person for whom they are calling or trying to locate.  Arcadia is known for it's very aggressive nature. While this approach might increase the amount of money they collect, its highly questionable, esp when they continue to call my 88 y.o. mothers phone, knowing she is not the person they are trying to locate. She jas asked them to stop calling her tel number and they continue.
This is just wrong, on so many levels! The number and the phone they ate calling is HER'S, MOT THEIRS!  They are not welcomed to use it just anyway they do desire!
They continue to call and call, definitely stressing her out and disturbing the peace of HER HOME ENVIRONMENT.
They are penetrating her home environment in this way, her kitchen, her living room, her bedroom for their own purposes.
If someone harassed her out in a public setting in this way, they might be charged with a crime,  etc.  In this case, they're harassing her within the walls of her own home!!!
It's cruel!!!
I do not know how people who carry out these tactics sleep at night.  It's abusive!
While debts need to be settled somehow; yet, the tactics used to coerce/bother/frustrate/abuse people should be charged as criminal behavior.

If you ever get a call from a bill collector and the bill/debt is yours, I'd advise trying to talk with them to find out more info that you might need.  You have the right to see an itemized bill.
People have told me Acadia has called them with a "total due" amount , but cannot present an itemized bill.  Seems odd.
DO NOT take my advice!!!
Learn about the laws which apply to this process of collecting and negotiating/paying overdue debts in your state, etc..
Call your State's Attorney General's Office to get accurate info and any pertinent referrals.
As in all matters, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
In some states you can simply ask collectors to stop calling you and , legally, they are supposed to stop.  Document any continued calls from them.  Give this info to your State,'s Attorney General.

To whomever feels free to keep calling anyways, STOP HARASSING OUR ELDERLY POPULATION!!!
